We all know that many pregnant women will show many signs before giving birth. These signs are to let pregnant women know that they are about to give birth so that they will not be caught off guard during delivery. Some pregnant women will go to the hospital a few days before the due date to wait for delivery. In fact, this method is more correct. After all, many accidents can be avoided in the hospital. So what are the symptoms a few days before delivery? 1. There is brown or light red discharge on the underwear A few days before the due date, if the pregnant mother finds brown or light red secretions on her underwear, she needs to be alert. Generally, this is spotting, a sign that delivery is about to begin. At this time, she should be prepared to be admitted to the hospital for delivery. Generally speaking, if some mucus mixed with blood flows out of the pregnant mother's vagina 24 to 48 hours before delivery, it is called spotting. This is because the fetal membrane near the internal os of the cervix separates from the uterine wall, causing the capillaries to rupture and a small amount of blood to be discharged from the vagina. 2. Tightness in the abdomen If a pregnant mother experiences intermittent abdominal tightening a few days before the due date, which then relaxes after a while, and occurs many times a day, more frequently at night, with no regular pattern, this is a "false labor" and the baby is not ready to be born at this time. Because the real uterine contractions before delivery are regular, with an interval of 5 to 6 minutes, lasting more than 30 seconds, and gradually increasing over time. 3. Feeling that the baby is about to fall out When a pregnant mother feels that the baby is about to fall out, it is actually a sign that the fetal head is entering the pelvis. Because before the baby is born, the fetal head must enter the pelvis, so that the baby's head and pelvis can be proportional, completing the first step of delivery - connection. The vast majority of first-time mothers connect within 1 to 2 weeks before the expected date of delivery, while mothers who have given birth before usually connect after the onset of labor. In addition, pregnant mothers will also feel signs of labor such as upper abdomen becoming comfortable, eating more, breathing lighter, and frequent urination. In fact, this is because after the baby's head descends into the pelvis, the bottom of the uterus lowers, so pregnant mothers will feel upper abdomen more comfortable, breathing lighter, eating more, and fetal movement less than before. 4. Involuntary discharge of small amounts of urine A few days before the due date, if the pregnant mother involuntarily discharges a small amount of urine, she needs to lie down flat, raise her hips, be alert to water breaking, and then consider whether the frequent urination is caused by the uterus pressing on the bladder. Generally speaking, normal amniotic fluid is colorless and odorless, and looks similar to urine, but is very clear. The editor would like to remind pregnant mothers that no matter when you feel your water breaking, you must go to the hospital for a check-up to confirm whether it is water breaking. If there are signs of water breaking, pregnant mothers must lie down to rest and slightly raise their hips to prevent excessive loss of amniotic fluid or umbilical cord prolapse. |
