What does it mean to have a stiff fallopian tube?

The fallopian tube is a key reproductive organ in the female body. It is like a conveyor belt that can safely transport the eggs, and can also transport the fertilized eggs to the uterus through this conveyor belt. Once there is a problem with the fallopian tube, it will not only harm the woman's physical health, but may also prevent her from becoming pregnant successfully. So, what does it mean to have a stiff fallopian tube?

Only when female friends understand the main symptoms of fallopian tube stiffness can they discover the problem and treat it in time. The symptoms are mainly manifested in the following aspects:

1. Segmental defect in the middle part of the fallopian tube. This situation is similar to the morphology of fallopian tube sterilization surgery, and the tissue of the missing segment appears fibromuscular under the microscope. If this situation is also accompanied by uterine malformation, the possibility of pregnancy is very small, and these fallopian tube shaping surgeries can easily lead to ectopic pregnancy.

2. Bilateral fallopian tube absence. Bilateral fallopian tube agenesis often occurs together with uterine malformations such as uterine agenesis and residual uterus.

3. Fallopian tube malformation. This situation mainly includes phenomena such as fallopian tube dysplasia, atresia and congenital closure.

4. Unilateral fallopian tube absence. This symptom often occurs together with ipsilateral uterine absence.

5. The fallopian tube is curled, shortened or sac-shaped. It is mainly caused by the mother taking some preparations during pregnancy.

How to treat fallopian tube stiffness?

The main causes of fallopian tube stiffness are inflammatory infection and congenital maldevelopment. For inflammatory infections, most of them are caused by chronic endosalpingitis, which causes the fallopian tube to lose its relevant physiological functions. In addition, fallopian tube stiffness will affect the movement of the fallopian tube cilia, which will affect the time and speed of sperm and egg combination, thus causing female infertility.

The treatment of fallopian tube stiffness should be symptomatic according to the patient's condition. In cases of congenital developmental abnormalities, medication can be considered for treatment; if the cause is inflammatory infection or other reasons, surgical treatment can be considered.
