Leucorrhea turns pink

Leucorrhea turns pink

Leucorrhea is a normal physiological phenomenon for women. It is usually colorless or white. If there is any abnormality in color, it is likely caused by a gynecological disease. The most likely reason for leucorrhea turning pink is Trichomonas vaginitis. We need to have a comprehensive understanding of this disease, and then make a judgment based on our own situation. After confirming the condition, we should seek treatment as soon as possible to avoid more serious consequences.

Pink vaginal discharge is usually a sign of bleeding. Gynecologists point out that if your leucorrhea contains blood, and the amount is too much or is thick like pus, or thin like water, or has a foul odor, itching, burning pain in the genitals, as well as back pain, weak legs, lower abdominal distension and other pathological conditions, you need to pay attention to it and seek timely treatment.

Pink leucorrhea is caused by vaginal Trichomonas infection, which is mostly transmitted through sexual intercourse. Patients often have a large amount of pink leucorrhea with a foul odor. In addition, in addition to vaginitis, other conditions such as cervicitis, pelvic inflammation, cervical malignancy, uterine leiomyoma, uterine adenocarcinoma, vaginal foreign bodies, etc. can all cause pink leucorrhea.

Why do women have too much vaginal discharge?

1. Pathological leucorrhea

Due to physiological changes in women, they may experience abnormal vaginal discharge, such as changes in the color, flow, and smell of the discharge. It is often accompanied by itching and pain in the vulva. This abnormal leucorrhea requires immediate medical treatment.

2. Inflammatory leucorrhea

(1) If the vaginal discharge is yellow or yellow-green, thin and foamy, or like rice water, grayish white, and has a foul odor, it is mostly caused by Trichomonas vaginalis.

(2) Leucorrhea is milky white or light yellow, purulent, large in amount, and has a foul odor, often accompanied by abdominal pain. It is usually caused by chronic cervicitis or endocervicitis.

(3) Leucorrhea is yellowish-white in color, and most of the time it is thick, but sometimes it can be thin. It is typically milky white, like bean curd, or in the form of white flakes or lumps, and is mostly caused by fungal infection.

(4) If there is blood in the leucorrhea, it is common in cervical polyps, side effects caused by intrauterine contraceptive devices, submucosal uterine fibroids, severe chronic cervicitis, etc.

(5) When women suffer from cervical cancer, vaginal cancer, uterine cancer and other diseases, the "leucorrhea" they secrete is mostly like rice washing water, turbid and has a foul odor, sometimes mixed with blood and is light pink in color, and has a large amount.

3. Excessive vaginal discharge during menstruation

The amount of vaginal discharge may increase as estrogen levels rise. Under normal circumstances, in the days before ovulation, the estrogen level in the body gradually increases, and the secretion of cervical mucus also gradually increases. The amount of leucorrhea is the largest on the eve of ovulation.

4. Excessive vaginal discharge during sexual intercourse

The progress of sexual life depends on the drive of estrogen in the body, so every time sexual life occurs, the body will mobilize estrogen. As sexual life progresses and climax occurs, there will be a temporary increase in estrogen in the body. Relying on this nerve reflex, the relevant glands will greatly increase the production of secretions. This is true during the ovulation period and the non-ovulation period.

5. Excessive leucorrhea caused by stress

Today's society is an arena of competition. In the fierce competitive environment, many women, in order not to be eliminated and for high salaries, are very strict with themselves, set too high goals, are busy with work and socializing, and put too much mental pressure on them due to life and work. In the long run, it will cause neurological disorders, affect the endocrine regulation of the human body, and cause excessive vaginal discharge.
