Is it accurate to test pregnancy with a night test strip?

Pregnancy tests are not accurate enough. The pregnancy test strip needs to be combined with the patient's menopause period. If the patient has no history of menopause, the test strip is not accurate enough for this situation. If the patient has delayed menstruation, test the first urine after getting up in the morning. In this case, the accuracy of the test paper is relatively high. If the pregnancy test paper test result is negative, there is a possibility that the HCG value in the blood test will be elevated. In other words, the pregnancy test paper may have a false negative result. Therefore, during pregnancy, if the test paper is negative, it is recommended to have a further blood test for HCG. You cannot use the test results of the test paper alone to determine whether you are pregnant.

Pregnancy measurements at night are less accurate than in the morning. It is recommended to measure accurately in the morning, with morning urine as the main measurement. You can use a pregnancy test stick. The accuracy is acceptable. If you are in doubt about the result, you can go to the hospital for a blood test for hcg, which is more accurate. If you have sex during ovulation, it is relatively easy to get pregnant. You still need to pay more attention to it in normal times, and try to avoid having sex during the ovulation period. It is also recommended to use condoms to avoid unwanted pregnancies.

If you have been amenorrhea for a while, that is, more than 15 days beyond the normal menstrual period, testing pregnancy at night is more accurate and does not necessarily require morning urine. Don't drink too much water before the test to avoid diluting the urine and affecting the test results. If the menopause has not been long, you can use morning urine for testing, which is relatively more accurate. Generally, a basic test can be performed with morning urine at least 14 days after intercourse.

Urine early pregnancy tests all have a certain degree of error probability. Sometimes they may be positive or false negative. If necessary, you can consider going to the hospital for a blood test for HCG, which is relatively accurate. In clinical medicine, the results of blood HCG test are used as the gold standard for determining whether a woman is pregnant.
