What changes in body temperature occur after fertilization?

Female fertilization is a normal situation. Generally, women will undergo the fertilization process during sexual intercourse. Fertilization is the most basic process of pregnancy, but many situations will occur after fertilization, including some changes in our body temperature. The body temperature will rise to a certain extent. There are certain reasons for the change in body temperature. So what changes will occur in body temperature after fertilization?

The measurement of the implantation temperature of the fertilized egg needs to be based on the accurate measurement of the basal body temperature. Generally, the body temperature of the fertilized egg will drop when it implants, and then the body temperature will rise. However, if the basal body temperature is not measured, this temperature change will not be obvious. Basal body temperature is the comparison between your low temperature and high temperature. As long as the difference between high and low temperature is more than 0.3-0.5℃, it is normal.

The body temperature drops after the fertilized egg implants, and will rise again the next day. If the body temperature persists for more than 16 days and is still rising on the 18th day, and if fever is ruled out, then you can consider whether you are pregnant. You can use an early pregnancy test strip or go to the hospital for examination to determine whether you are successfully pregnant.

The implantation temperature of the fertilized egg is based on the measurement of basal body temperature. Before ovulation, the basal body temperature is generally 36.5℃. The day before ovulation, the body temperature will drop a little. On the day of ovulation, the body temperature is the lowest. After ovulation, the basal body temperature will rise and the body temperature will exceed 37°C. When the fertilized egg implants, the body temperature drops. Therefore, the day when the body temperature drops is considered to be the day when the fertilized egg implants. Generally speaking, if the basal body temperature rises steadily and remains above 37°C for more than 16 days, it can be preliminarily judged as early pregnancy.

The body temperature may drop after the fertilized egg implants. If a woman has her basal body temperature measured, she can understand the changes in body temperature after the fertilized egg implants and use it as a factor in determining possible implantation. Generally, normal menstruation will resume about 2 weeks after ovulation. If a woman has a regular menstrual cycle but her menstruation is delayed, and her basal body temperature remains above 37°C for about 3 weeks, and fever is ruled out, pregnancy can be considered and an early pregnancy test is recommended.
