Can I use IVF if my follicles are not developing well?

In recent years, test tube babies have become more and more popular among the public. Many infertile people will use test tubes to have their own children. However, we usually use relatively mature follicles for test tube babies, which will increase the success rate of test tube babies. Some people say that test tubes cannot be used if the follicles are not well developed. So, can test tubes be used if the follicles are not well developed?

First of all, follicular hypoplasia is caused by female endocrine dysfunction, which can cause hormone imbalance and lead to anovulation or polycystic ovary. In this case, although there are follicles, the disease will inhibit their growth, which will also cause follicular hypoplasia and affect pregnancy.

For women with long-term infertility, they can first go to the hospital for detailed examinations to confirm whether the follicles are well developed. If the follicles are not developing well, medication or surgery can be used for treatment.

In vitro fertilization is the process of combining and culturing eggs and sperm in vitro, and then implanting the cultured embryo into the mother to complete the pregnancy. If a woman's ovarian follicles are underdeveloped, the doctor will use ovulation-stimulating drugs or ovulation injections before surgery. These methods can greatly increase the chances of obtaining healthy eggs, thereby helping the patient to complete childbearing.

The main reason for poor follicular development is pituitary problems, that is, it is caused by poor development of the ovaries. Common diseases include pituitary prolactinoma and hyperprolactinemia. Therefore, you should go to the hospital in time to check what causes the poor follicular development. Only symptomatic treatment can effectively restore ovulation.

Many female friends will experience premature ovarian failure when they reach a certain age. This phenomenon will cause poor development of follicles. Generally, patients are prone to having scanty menstruation or even amenorrhea during their menstrual period. Even with the use of ovulation-stimulating drugs, they will not ovulate again. Most of these cases occur in women after menopause.

Poor follicular development may also be caused by polycystic ovary syndrome. Patients with polycystic ovary syndrome do not ovulate every month. Multiple small follicles appear every month, but they are often immature. It is more difficult for such patients to get pregnant.
