Can I have a natural birth with an ovarian cyst?

Having a child is one of the most important things in a woman's life, and whether the child is healthy is not only related to her own physical health, but also has a lot to do with the care of her family. It’s just that some pregnant women become ill for various reasons, and some even suffer from diseases that make them unable to have children, so they have to reluctantly abort the baby. So for women who have ovarian cysts, can they have a normal birth?

The most common ovarian cyst in women of childbearing age is functional ovarian cyst, which is caused by excessive physiological response of the ovary itself or drug stimulation. In fact, ovarian cysts have no effect on spontaneous delivery, but cesarean section and tumor removal can also be chosen.

To put it simply and intuitively, an ovarian cyst refers to a lump formed inside or on the surface of the ovary. Tumors are usually filled with liquid, sometimes solid, or a mixture of liquid and solid. This tumor is usually small in size, like a cashew nut, but some cysts become larger, even as big as a softball.

With larger cysts, of course, caution should be taken, as the human ovary itself is only the size of a walnut.

The tumor refers to the cystic mass formation in the ovary, which can be divided into two categories, namely neoplastic and non-neoplastic. Tumor cysts are ovarian tumors. Non-neoplastic cysts include functional ovarian cysts and endometriomas.

Causes

1. Genetic factors

According to statistics, 20% to 25% of ovarian tumor patients have a family history.

2. Endocrine factors

The ovaries are important organs for ovulation and secretion of gonadal hormones. Ovarian tumors often occur during the reproductive age. Clinically, the basic pathophysiological change in many patients with ovarian cysts and polycystic ovary syndrome is that the ovaries produce too much androgen, and the excessive production of androgen is the result of the synergistic effect of abnormal functions of multiple endocrine systems in the body.

3. Lifestyle factors

Long-term bad diet structure, living habits, and excessive psychological stress can lead to physiological ovarian cysts and true ovarian tumors.

4. Environmental factors

Food contamination, such as plant growth hormones used in vegetables, and hormone ingredients such as clenbuterol in formula feeding of livestock and poultry. In recent years, with the improvement of living standards and changes in eating habits in my country, as well as the abuse of hormone drugs and tonics such as breast augmentation, weight loss, and anti-aging by some young and middle-aged women, the high incidence and younger age of ovarian tumors may also be related.
