Why do I feel chest pain during ovulation?

It is normal to feel chest pain during ovulation. Most people who often experience chest pain have breast problems, so you need to pay special attention to it. Chest pain during ovulation can be considered as mastitis or menstruation, which is a physiological manifestation caused by endocrine reasons.

What causes breast pain during ovulation?

Generally speaking, breast swelling after ovulation is normal, which is affected by progesterone. Normally, menstruation will come 14 days later. If swelling occurs frequently, you can have an endocrine check to see if prolactin is too high. If you have just ovulated, pelvic fluid accumulation of 20mm is normal; if fluid accumulation is 20mm at other times, it is pelvic inflammatory disease.

Regarding the examination, diffuse thickening was found in both breasts, which appeared in flaky, granular or nodular form. The boundary between the thickened area and the surrounding breast tissue was not obvious. Sometimes the two sides may be asymmetrical. The above findings are often more obvious before menstruation and soften or disappear after menstruation. When cysts are formed, multiple cystic nodules of varying sizes can be felt in the breast.

There is some controversy about the relationship between lobular hyperplasia of the breast and breast cancer, but most scholars believe that more than 90% of lobular hyperplasia is a physiological change caused by endocrine imbalance, and its essence is neither inflammation nor tumor, let alone precancerous lesions. However, there is a phenomenon that deserves attention. That is, some breast cancers are sometimes misdiagnosed as lobular hyperplasia, which is not taken seriously and not thoroughly investigated, resulting in the delay of the good opportunity for early treatment.

As for suggestions for pain relief, you can change your eating habits and adopt a low-fat, high-fiber diet, consuming fiber from cereals (whole wheat), vegetables and beans. In addition, massaging the breasts frequently and gently can return excess body fluids to the lymphatic system. When massaging, first apply soapy liquid to the breast, and rotate your fingers along the surface of the breast in a circle about the size of a coin. Then use your hands to press the breasts in and bounce them up, which is extremely helpful in preventing breast discomfort.
