What is the normal age for women to have menstruation?

Menstruation is something that every female friend will experience, and menopause will occur at a certain age. However, many people do not know what age is normal for women to experience menstruation. Infrequent menstruation, irregular menstrual cycles, and sudden menopause are all symptoms before menopause, so female friends need to learn more about the relevant knowledge to be better prepared, and when symptoms such as irregular menstruation are found, they need to adjust and seek medical treatment in time.

1 Menopause in women refers to the decline of ovarian function and the cessation of menstruation. The perimenopausal syndrome or menopausal syndrome is a group of syndromes characterized by autonomic nervous system dysfunction and neuropsychological symptoms caused by fluctuations or decreases in sex hormones before and after menopause in women.

2We all know that women will go into menopause when they reach a certain age. Theoretically, the menopause age for women in my country is between 45 and 55 years old, but most people go into menopause around 50 to 52 years old.

3 Menopause represents the decline of ovarian function, depletion of estrogen secretion, cessation of menstruation, and termination of reproductive function. It is generally divided into three stages: premenopause, menopause and postmenopause. Menopause is calculated based on the time of a woman's last menstrual period. Most women go through menopause naturally between the ages of 45 and 55.

4 After menopause, the sudden and obvious lack of estrogen can cause some discomfort, which may occur in some people before menopause. It is often manifested by changes in mood and emotions, irritability, excitability, insomnia, anxiety, paroxysmal facial flushing, hot flashes, sweating, itchy skin, and sometimes a crawling feeling on the skin. The skin loses elasticity, wrinkles increase, muscles gradually relax, pain occurs from time to time, fatigue or weakness, headache, dizziness, and unstable blood pressure.

5 These symptoms are called menopausal syndrome.

6 Generally speaking, there is no uniform timetable for women's menopause. However, according to incomplete statistics, approximately 90%-95% of women will experience menopause between the ages of 50 and 55; 3%-5% of women will experience menopause between the ages of 40 and 50; and approximately 2%-4% of women will experience menopause around the age of 60.

Menopause before the age of 740 is medically known as "early menopause", while menopause after the age of 55 is called "late menopause". Neither early menopause nor late menopause is good. Among them, the factors that affect the early or late menopause of women are directly related to the woman’s own physique, daily nutrition, whether she has physical illness, whether her sex life is harmonious, whether she is mentally happy, and whether the relationship between husband and wife is harmonious.

8 Women who experience premature menopause are more likely to suffer from "menopausal syndrome" due to the premature decrease in sex hormone levels. They are more likely to have unstable mental and psychological states, which affects the quality of family life. More importantly, women who go through menopause prematurely are prone to high blood lipids, high blood pressure, and are more susceptible to cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Therefore, they should pay great attention to a healthy diet, have regular physical examinations, and exercise appropriately.

9 Women who have late menopause need to be vigilant because if they have not reached menopause after the age of 55, their hormone levels will be high for a long time, which increases the risk of endometrial cancer and breast cancer. Therefore, women who are over 55 and have not yet reached menopause must go to the hospital regularly for B-ultrasound examination of the endometrium (and endometrial biopsy when necessary), as well as breast B-ultrasound, to prevent problems before they occur.

Of course, as long as we are healthy, we should not worry too much about the early or late menopause. Good health is the most important thing. Therefore, female friends should pay attention to physical exercise, develop healthy work and rest habits, not stay up late, not drink alcohol, and not smoke, so as to avoid entering menopause too early or too late.

At the same time, if you can pay more attention to nutritional balance, it will be beneficial to endocrine adjustment and avoid hormone secretion disorders. These foods can help improve women's health.
