What to do if the accessory breast is swollen and painful

The pain caused by accessory breast swelling is likely to occur during lactation. We know that normal women have a pair of healthy breasts. In fact, the human body also has extra breasts, which are accessory breasts. Accessory breasts will appear in the armpits, abdomen, groin, outer thighs and other parts. You may not feel it at normal times, but you will experience swelling and pain during the breastfeeding period. So, what should I do if my accessory breasts are swollen and painful? Let’s take a look at the solution below.

1. Sports massage

You can do exercises to expand your chest and slim your arms, and use the contraction of the pectoralis major and arm muscles to improve the condition of your accessory breasts. You can massage your accessory breasts every morning and evening, with your hands hanging naturally, and you can see the concave and convex parts between the armpits and the chest. Concave part: Use the middle finger and thumb to pinch gently repeatedly with appropriate force, 30 times on each side. Protruding part: Make a fist with your hand and use the strength of your knuckles to push the protruding accessory breast from the outside to the inside, 30 times on each side. (Note: The right breast is moved with the left hand, and the left breast is moved with the right hand)

2. Mechanical repetitive massage

The West uses a mechanical suction and release massage device that uses negative pressure to suck the breast into the cup, converts it into positive pressure and then pushes the breast out. The accessory breast is shaped in the breast cup. The breast will gradually become round after repeated suction and release into the cup. Fatty accessory breasts will have a shaping effect after repeated mechanical massage for one month. If there is accessory breast with nipples, a doctor's diagnosis and surgical treatment are necessary.

3. Liposuction

If the protruding tissue of the accessory breast is too large, or often rubs against the skin, causing recurrent eczema or inconvenience in life, you may consider removing it.

There are two ways to remove accessory breasts. If the accessory breasts are caused by improper dressing or simple fat accumulation, liposuction can be used to remove them, and the wound is about 0.5 cm. If there is breast tissue inside the accessory breast, the breast of the accessory breast needs to be removed. In this case, excision surgery is chosen. The knife is cut along the crease line of the armpit, and a 2~3 cm incision is made. The wound will be hidden in the armpit.

4. Surgical treatment

It is usually performed under continuous epidural anesthesia or intravenous anesthesia, and only a few are performed under local anesthesia. Local anesthesia is not conducive to electrosurgical free flap, nor is it conducive to distinguishing fat and accessory breast tissue. The choice of incision will take into account aesthetics and concealment. The accessory breast has no capsule, so during surgery the skin flap should be freed to the edge of the mass and the excision range should be sufficient to ensure the effectiveness of the surgical treatment.

For the treatment of accessory breast cancer, the surgical excision range is at least 5 cm away from the edge of the tumor, and the muscle tissue is removed at the same time, and the ipsilateral axillary lymph nodes are cleared. Other treatments are the same as breast cancer.

A rubber drainage tube and negative pressure absorption were placed on the wound surface to facilitate the growth of the flap. After 72 hours, the drainage tube was removed based on the drainage volume. If the tube is removed prematurely, subcutaneous fluid and blood accumulation will occur.
