Stomach pain for several days

Stomach pain for several days

A dull pain in the abdomen seems to be common for women. We cannot say that all women suffer from dysmenorrhea, but all women will have some different reactions from usual during their menstrual period, such as chest distension, drowsiness, back pain, cervical pain and abdominal pain. But what if your stomach has been aching for several days in a row, and your period is due but has not come yet? What should you do?

1. What is the reason for the dull pain in the lower abdomen when menstruation has not come?

Slight abdominal pain and missed menstruation may be due to pelvic inflammatory disease. Pelvic inflammatory disease is a common disease in women. It is mainly related to bacterial infection, decreased immunity and other factors. The main symptoms are lower abdominal pain, increased vaginal discharge, pain during sexual intercourse, etc. It can be confirmed by doing B-ultrasound in a regular hospital. The mainstay of treatment for pelvic inflammatory disease is antibiotics. You can take levofloxacin and Fuyankang capsules orally. Pelvic inflammatory disease is usually complicated by anaerobic infection, so it is usually treated with metronidazole.

2. What to do if you have a dull pain in your lower abdomen when your period has not come?

First, look at your menstrual cycle. If your period is still a long way off, it may be a simple stomachache. It will usually go away after a while. If the pain is severe, it may be due to gastrointestinal or appendix problems, and you need to go to the hospital for a check-up.

Second, if you find that your menstrual period is coming in a few days or a week, then don’t be afraid. Lower abdominal pain is a precursor to menstruation, also known as dysmenorrhea, and many girls experience this condition.

Third, if the menstrual cycle has not come, you should be alert to whether you are pregnant. You may consider irregular menstruation or pregnancy. It is recommended to check it out first.

Fourth, if it is simple dysmenorrhea, do not eat raw or cold food or do strenuous exercise during these days. You can also use warm compresses with water to reduce pain. But if it is any other problem, you must go to the hospital for a check-up as soon as possible. Don't delay. Delaying it for too long will definitely not do good for your health.
