Mild cases occur during or before and after menstruation, with obvious lower abdominal pain and accompanied by lower back pain, but the patient can continue to work and has no systemic symptoms. Painkillers are sometimes needed. Moderate dysmenorrhea mainly occurs during or before and after menstruation, with unbearable pain in the lower abdomen, accompanied by low back pain, nausea, vomiting, and cold limbs. The pain can be temporarily relieved by using analgesics. The main symptoms of severe dysmenorrhea are unbearable lower abdominal pain during or before and after menstruation, restlessness, and serious impact on work, study, and daily life. The patient must stay in bed to rest, and is accompanied by lower back pain, pale complexion, profuse cold sweats, cold limbs, vomiting, diarrhea, and anal swelling.
