What foods should not be eaten during pregnancy

1. It is not advisable to eat a high-sugar diet during pregnancy. The possibility of giving birth to a high-weight fetus, the incidence of congenital malformations, the chance of developing pregnancy toxemia, or the number of cesarean sections required for pregnant women with high blood sugar are 3 times, 7 times, and 2 times that of pregnant women with low blood sugar, respectively. On the other hand, high blood sugar will increase the burden on the kidneys of pregnant women and is not conducive to pregnancy care.

2. A high-protein diet during pregnancy is not suitable. A high-protein diet during pregnancy will affect the appetite of pregnant women and increase the burden on the gastrointestinal tract. A large amount of harmful substances such as hydrogen sulfide and histamine can be produced in the human body, which can easily cause abdominal distension, loss of appetite, dizziness, fatigue and other phenomena.

3. A high-fat diet is not advisable during pregnancy. If a pregnant woman eats a high-fat diet for a long time, it will inevitably increase the risk of her daughter developing reproductive system cancer. Eating high-fat foods for a long time will increase the concentration of bile acid and neutral cholesterol in the large intestine. At the same time, high-fat foods can increase the synthesis of prolactin, promote the occurrence of breast cancer, and are not conducive to the health of mother and baby.

4. It is not advisable to eat a high-calcium diet during pregnancy. Pregnant women blindly eat a high-calcium diet, drink a lot of milk, take calcium tablets, vitamin D, etc., which is harmful to the fetus. Nutritionists believe that if pregnant women take too much calcium supplements, the fetus may suffer from hypercalcemia. After birth, the child's fontanelle will close too early, the jawbone will become wide and protruding, etc., which is not conducive to healthy growth and development.
