Do I need to stay in bed after fallopian tube removal?

Fallopian tube removal is a very common operation, which is more suitable for treating fallopian tube problems caused by diseases and other reasons. Patients need to pay attention to the recovery after the operation. The body has consumed a lot of energy right after the operation, and it takes about a month to recuperate. During this period, they should also do some exercise. It is very important to adjust the patient's mentality.

The recovery after surgery has different approaches depending on the nature of the surgery, but there are some principles that all surgeons must follow:

1. Get more rest, avoid fatigue, and avoid heavy physical work;

2. Pay attention to nutritional supplements. Because surgery is a trauma to the human body, timely nutritional supplementation after surgery can promote the body's recovery (in traditional Chinese medicine, it is called restoring vitality);

3. Live a regular life and ensure adequate sleep;

4. Do moderate exercise within your ability and within the limits of your physical condition, such as taking a walk, going out in the sun, and breathing fresh air. These are very beneficial to the body's recovery.

5. Stay cheerful and happy, and have confidence in life. A good mood can do wonders for your body’s recovery.

Causes of Ovarian Cancer

The committee concluded that, contrary to conventional wisdom, approximately 75% of ovarian cancers and 90% of deaths from ovarian cancer are caused by epithelial ovarian cancer.

Traditionally, epithelial ovarian cancer was thought to originate from a small part of the ovary, but the latest research suggests that it originates from the fallopian tube and part of the endometrium.

Studies have also shown that tubal ligation plays a preventive role in endometrial clear cell carcinoma.

4. Only cut the fallopian tube - better effect

Based on current views on ovarian carcinogenesis, the committee believes that simple removal of the fallopian tubes and preservation of the ovaries may be more effective in preventing cancer than oophorectomy and bilateral salpingectomy and oophorectomy.

The latter can lead to early menopause, increased risk of cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, and cognitive impairment and, in the Nurses' Health Study, has been associated with an increased risk of mortality from all causes and cancer.
