Symptoms of threatened abortion abdominal pain

Symptoms of threatened abortion abdominal pain

In modern society, pregnancy problems are becoming more and more serious. Many women suffer from many side effects and sequelae due to pregnancy. Pregnant women may suffer from miscarriage or premature birth due to various reasons, and even lead to infertility. However, there are usually some symptoms before miscarriage, such as abdominal pain, which should be taken seriously. So what are the symptoms of abdominal pain before threatened miscarriage?

Threatened abortion refers to a small amount of vaginal bleeding before 28 weeks of pregnancy, followed by paroxysmal lower abdominal pain or back pain. Pelvic examination shows that the cervix is not dilated, the fetal membranes are intact, no products of pregnancy are expelled, and the size of the uterus is consistent with the gestational age. If symptoms worsen, miscarriage may become inevitable.

Termination of pregnancy before 28 weeks is called miscarriage. If the pregnancy ends naturally before 12 weeks, it is called early miscarriage, and if the pregnancy ends naturally between 13 and 27 weeks, it is called late miscarriage. According to statistics from different regions, different classes and different ages, the incidence of spontaneous abortion is between 15% and 40%. About 75% occur before 16 weeks of pregnancy, and 62% occur before 12 weeks of pregnancy.

Abortion goes through a series of processes from its beginning to its end. According to its different stages, it can be given different diagnostic names, namely: threatened abortion, inevitable abortion, incomplete abortion, complete abortion, and missed abortion.

Clinical manifestations 1. Amenorrhea: Most patients with spontaneous abortion have a clear history of amenorrhea.

2. Vaginal bleeding and abdominal pain: The first symptom is often vaginal bleeding. The amount of bleeding is usually small and often dark red, or bloody leucorrhea, but it can sometimes last for 4 to 5 days or even more than a week. A few hours to a few weeks after the bleeding occurs, it may be accompanied by mild lower abdominal pain or back pain. After 12 weeks of pregnancy, patients may sometimes feel paroxysmal abdominal pain.

Gynecological examination revealed that the cervix was not dilated, no products of pregnancy were discharged, and the size of the uterus was consistent with the time of amenorrhea.

Treatment: In addition to bed rest and strictly prohibiting sexual intercourse, the treatment of threatened abortion should create an environment that is conducive to stabilizing the patient's mood and relieving tension. For those with a history of miscarriage, more spiritual support should be given. If the pregnant woman's progesterone level is low, progesterone supportive therapy can be used.
