How to clear milk clots during lactation

How to clear milk clots during lactation

Milk clots are common during lactation, but we all know that although it is common, it can have adverse effects on the health of the baby and the mother's breasts. Therefore, of course, we must pay attention to understanding scientific and effective methods of unblocking the clots. Drinking deer antler powder can have a certain effect, or using hot water for hot compresses and letting the baby suck more can also help eliminate milk clots.

1. Grind the antler into powder (large Chinese medicine halls have ready-made antler powder for sale) and boil it for drinking. Boil the antelope horn separately (to prevent inflammation, it is best to boil it a little more and drink it as usual with boiled water. The antelope horn is a cold in nature and people with cold body and weak constitution should use it with caution)

2. Prepare a basin of hot water (note that it is warm water, not the hot water that many people say, and the hotter the better, hot water will only indirectly cause breast inflammation). Take a clean towel, dip it in water and wring it dry, and apply it to the lumpy area for 1 or 2 minutes.

3. Rub the lumps with both hands until the lumps become smaller (of course it will be painful, but dear great mothers, for the sake of your baby's healthy breast milk, you have to grit your teeth and bear it. If you can't do it yourself, you can ask your husband to do it for you, or of course you can find a lactation consultant, which will be easier)

4. Let the baby suck (let the baby suck the nipple directly with his mouth, so that the force will be greater), and you will find that several milk ducts are unblocked. Repeat the above steps: hot compress - rub - suck, until the milk lumps disappear!

Before doing all these things, make sure your baby is hungry. Otherwise, all your efforts in applying and kneading will be in vain if the baby is too full and refuses to suck the nipple!

5. Expectant mothers must remember that in order to avoid breast lumps during lactation, correct measures must be taken in the early stages of milk accumulation to prevent problems before they occur. In addition, new mothers must master the correct breastfeeding method and take good care of their breasts to avoid the occurrence of milk stasis.
