What happens if a woman has lumps in her armpits after giving birth?

After giving birth, the mother's body is very weak. In addition to resting, she also needs to eat more nutritious food so that she can be prepared for breastfeeding. However, mothers are also prone to many physical problems, such as feeling a small lump wandering inside when touching their armpits. Many pregnant women began to worry about what was going on. Could it be caused by a tumor?

Why do pregnant women have pimples under their armpits?

1. Benign swelling. Includes swelling caused by various infections, connective tissue diseases and allergic reactions. The clinical course is usually benign and can be fully recovered within a certain period of time as the cause is eliminated.

2. Malignant swelling. It includes malignant tumors originating in the lymph nodes, such as lymphoma, lymphocytic leukemia and malignant histiocytosis, as well as lymph node metastasis of other malignant tumors, such as lung cancer, gastric cancer and breast cancer. The clinical course is malignant, with persistent and progressive enlargement of lymph nodes. If not treated actively, the disease will often progressively worsen and lead to death.

3. Swelling between benign and malignant. Such as angioprimitive immunocytic lymphadenopathy and angiofollicular lymphadenopathy. It often starts out benign but can become malignant and fatal.

What to do if pregnant women have pimples under their armpits

Swollen axillary lymph nodes are most commonly caused by inflammation of tissues or organs in the lymph node drainage area, followed by lymph node metastasis of malignant tumors, and diseases of the lymph nodes themselves, such as lymph node tuberculosis, lymphoma, etc. Therefore, after confirming that the lymph nodes are swollen, the key is to determine their cause and nature. Local swelling accompanied by obvious pain often indicates infection; progressive painless swelling often indicates malignant tumor disease.

If the swollen lymph nodes under the armpit are mild, they will naturally get better after a period of time; or you can take some ordinary anti-inflammatory drugs or get some anti-inflammatory injections. However, if the swelling is severe and does not heal after long-term anti-inflammatory treatment, treatment is needed: first, to prevent it from further worsening; second, the body needs it to restore its function, exert its immune and bactericidal effects, and enhance physical fitness.
