Excessive discharge from below during early pregnancy

Excessive discharge from below during early pregnancy

After pregnancy, a woman's body often undergoes many changes due to the influence of progesterone. Symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, general fatigue, and drowsiness are more obvious. Many women who are newly pregnant also report that their vaginal discharge increases in the early stages of pregnancy. This is actually a normal physiological condition. As long as the discharge is of normal color and has no odor, it generally does not require special treatment. Just pay attention to washing it more often on a daily basis.

1. What is pregnancy discharge?

During pregnancy, the pregnant mother's private parts will secrete more secretions than usual. The moisture and viscosity of the secretions are also different from before, and they will be relatively viscous. The reason for this is mainly due to the progesterone in the pregnant mother's body.

As the amount of progesterone in the pregnant mother's body increases, the metabolism will become more active, resulting in increased secretions. Especially in the late pregnancy, the pregnant mother's body will increase vaginal secretions to more than usual in order to prepare for lubrication for the birth of the baby.

During pregnancy, pregnant mothers should pay more attention to hygiene care during pregnancy. They should pay attention to changing underwear frequently. Some Chinese herbal lotions can be used for daily care, which can effectively kill bacteria, relieve itching, clear away heat and dry dampness. External washing is safe and healthy.

Don't be a lazy mother during pregnancy. Keep yourself clean and dry so that diseases won't come to you and your baby!

2. Is it normal to have a lot of secretions in early pregnancy?

It is normal to secrete more vaginal discharge during pregnancy. After pregnancy, due to the effect of estrogen and the accelerated blood flow in the vulva, vagina, cervix and other parts of the pregnant woman, the tissues contain more water, so the amount of vaginal discharge is significantly increased than usual, and as the pregnancy month increases, the amount of vaginal discharge increases. This is a normal phenomenon during pregnancy and generally does not require special treatment.

However, the excessive secretions during pregnancy often make the vulva moist, which can cause some irritation to the local skin. Therefore, pregnant mothers should pay attention to personal hygiene, change and wash underwear every day, keep underwear dry, and wash the vulva with warm water every day, so as not to get some gynecological inflammation during pregnancy!

3. What to do if the discharge during pregnancy has a strange smell

The color, texture, and smell of secretions during pregnancy often reveal information about the health of the body. If vaginal secretions have an odor during pregnancy, or are even accompanied by local discomfort in the vagina, or symptoms of pain or itching, then the expectant mother should sound the alarm. It may be vaginitis.

There are roughly two types of vaginitis during pregnancy: one is that pregnancy causes body disorders, which will cause vaginitis, and the disease will heal itself after the body's own immunity increases after delivery. The other possibility is that you really have vaginitis, in which case you should receive treatment after giving birth.

Here I would like to remind all expectant mothers that prenatal check-ups are essential. If you suffer from some vaginal inflammation, you should tell your doctor as soon as possible. Don't feel embarrassed to talk about it. Vaginal health problems during pregnancy can be serious or minor. Early treatment can avoid affecting the health of the baby.
