There is also common blood stasis type menstrual disorders. So what are its symptoms?

Symptoms of blood stasis type menstrual irregularity

The main symptoms of blood stasis type menstrual disorders are more or less menstrual flow, purple-red color, clots, and irregular menstruation. Or it may be accompanied by lower abdominal pain that is resistant to pressure, or distension and pain in the chest, flanks, breasts, and lower abdomen, abdominal distension and discomfort, purple tongue or petechiae, thin white or thin yellow tongue coating, and stringy or astringent pulse.

1. Dysmenorrhea

Blood stasis type menstrual disorders can cause dysmenorrhea and affect pregnancy. It is caused by menstrual blood staying in the uterine cavity for a long time, and is also caused by endocrine disorders and inflammation.

2. Too little bleeding

Patients with this type of blood stasis menstrual disorder will experience a decrease in menstrual volume and a shorter duration. Under normal circumstances, menstruation lasts about a week, but for some patients it may only last 2 to 3 days.

3. Dark menstrual color

From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, dark colored menstrual blood is often a sign of qi stagnation and blood stasis, which causes too little blood, abnormal color, black blood clots, and is often accompanied by abdominal pain. Treatment requires promoting blood circulation, removing blood stasis, regulating qi and relieving pain. In addition, kidney deficiency often causes women's menstrual blood to be dark in color.

A good way to regulate irregular menstruation

1. Keep a happy spirit and avoid mental stimulation and mood swings. Some women may experience lower abdominal distension, back pain, breast tenderness, mild diarrhea, fatigue, drowsiness, emotional instability, irritability or depression during menstruation. These are all normal and there is no need to be overly nervous.

2. Pay attention to hygiene and prevent infection. Pay attention to the hygiene of the external genitalia. Keep warm and avoid cold stimulation. Avoid overwork. People with heavy menstrual bleeding should avoid eating brown sugar.

3. Prevent excessive dieting, quit smoking and limit alcohol consumption, pay attention to your own dietary structure, eat more lean meat, cereals, dark green leafy vegetables and calcium-rich foods, avoid overeating raw and cold foods, keep a good mood, strengthen exercise, and improve physical fitness.
