What are the diagnosis and treatment methods for breast diseases?

For women, breast health is very important. In today's society, due to various reasons, for example, many women are under great pressure in life, have to shoulder family responsibilities, and work hard in their careers. In such a fast-paced life, women suffer from breast diseases frequently. There are many types of breast diseases, so when you feel discomfort in your breasts, you must go to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment in time.

First, breast inflammation

1. Breast cyst: The latter has no typical clinical manifestations of inflammation; the cyst has regular shape, smooth wall, clear cystic fluid, and significantly enhanced echo of the posterior wall.

2. Mammary duct ectasia: It is common in the area around the areola.

3. Fibrocystic breast disease: no typical clinical manifestations of inflammation; related to changes in the menstrual cycle.

4. Breast cancer: There are no typical clinical manifestations of inflammation; the tumor is irregular in shape, and infiltrates into the surrounding tissues in a serrated or crab-foot-like manner; the local skin shows orange peel-like changes and nipple inversion.

Second, breast hyperplasia

1. Breast cancer: The local tumor becomes more invasive and has nothing to do with menstruation.

2. Breast cysts: There is a history of cyst formation, lactation and duct obstruction, but no pain symptoms.

Third, differential diagnosis of breast cysts

1. Breast abscess: irregular and thickened borders with an inhomogeneous dark area inside.

2. Breast cystic hyperplasia: It is often multiple, not round, and the breasts on both sides are enlarged, which is related to the menstrual cycle.

4. Mammary duct ectasia

1. During the acute attack period, it should be differentiated from acute mastitis and breast abscess (refer to the mastitis section).

2. Breast fibroids: movable, non-inflammatory, and can occur in any part of the body.

3. Breast cancer: No history of acute inflammation, mostly located in the upper outer quadrant, gradually increasing in size, and without recurrence.

Fifth, breast fibroids

1. Breast cancer: not smooth, irregular borders, uneven internal echoes, and infiltration.

2. Breast cyst: It is an echo-free area with enhanced echo on the posterior wall.

3. Mammary duct ectasia: refer to the previous description.

6. Cystosarcoma phyllodes

1. Breast cyst: small in size, with a homogeneous anechoic area inside.

2. Breast fibroadenoma: The lump is small, hard and movable.

3. Breast cancer: irregular, invasive, and rapid development.

7. Fat membrane inflammation and granulation tissue

Fat membrane inflammation is an inflammation of the subcutaneous fat layer of the breast, which appears on ultrasound as an irregular area of moderate to strong echoes with a slight acoustic shadow behind it. This disease has moderate to strong echoes under the dermis. If the fat liquefies, it will appear as an echo-free area and may also form a cyst. The ultrasonographic appearance of granulation tissue is similar to that of panniculitis.
