Is it normal to have blood in the vaginal discharge after miscarriage?

When there is blood in the leucorrhea after childbirth, there are physiological and pathological factors. If the uterus or vagina is damaged after delivery, it will cause bleeding, but the bleeding is small in amount and can be repaired by blood clotting on its own. If the bleeding is caused by pathological factors, the amount of bleeding will be large each time and will be accompanied by abdominal pain. Therefore, when there is blood in the leucorrhea, you should pay more attention and check whether there are other symptoms in your body.

1. Physiological , that is, ovulation bleeding. It usually occurs between two menstrual periods or about 14 days before the next menstrual period. Some women experience bleeding during ovulation due to changes in hormone levels, which causes the endometrium to shed. Generally the amount is not large and it will get better on its own after a day or two.

2. Pathological . There are many reasons why leucorrhea with blood is caused by disease.

For example : damage to the vaginal wall, cervical lesions, endometrial lesions, or endocrine disorders, etc. Vaginal wall injuries are mostly caused by trauma, which can be treated according to the severity of the injury; cervical lesions include cervical erosion, cervical cysts, cervical polyps, cervical cancer, etc., which are all causes of bleeding. Most manifestations are contact bleeding. In short, as to why there is blood in the leucorrhea, experts point out that in order to confirm whether it is caused by these reasons, it is necessary to conduct examinations through colposcopy and cervical smears, and treat according to the severity of the disease; bleeding caused by endometrial cancer and uterine fibroids is also not uncommon, and the amount of bleeding will be larger. The bleeding time caused by uterine fibroids will be longer, and it may be a few days to more than ten days. Endometrial cancer can be diagnosed through endometrial scraping and blood tests, and uterine fibroids can be diagnosed through B-ultrasound.

The leucorrhea that occurs in patients with gynecological tumors may be yellow or red watery, such as fallopian tube cancer. Therefore, we would like to remind female friends that if they have watery leucorrhea, they must seek treatment as soon as possible. Postmenopausal women should pay more attention.

Doctors remind that if the leucorrhea is like water, you should get checked early and not take random medicines to treat it alone. In addition, female patients should avoid moisture, excessive fatigue, and unclean sexual life. Paying attention to hygiene in daily life is the key for women to prevent gynecological diseases. Especially for women who have had sexual intercourse or are married, regular gynecological examinations are necessary to detect and treat diseases early.
