What changes will occur during pregnancy?

During pregnancy, leucorrhea will change and will not always be clear. During pregnancy, the leucorrhea will be a little red at first. This is because the epithelial cells of the vagina and uterus will carry a little blood when they fall off. In the later stages of pregnancy, the amount of vaginal discharge will increase. During pregnancy, regular physical examinations at the hospital are important measures to ensure the health of women and the fetus.

What are the changes in leucorrhea after pregnancy

Normal leucorrhea should be milky white or colorless and transparent, with a slightly fishy smell or no smell. After pregnancy, under the influence of estrogen and progesterone, women's leucorrhea will also change accordingly. As for the changes in leucorrhea after pregnancy, the growing fetus puts pressure on the pregnant woman's pelvic tissue, causing vascular dilation and tissue congestion. In addition, the increase in hormones in the pregnant woman's body causes the proliferation of cervical glands, and leucorrhea also increases with the proliferation of cervical glands.

After pregnancy, most expectant mothers will find that their vaginal discharge increases significantly. However, in the early stages of pregnancy, not every expectant mother will experience an increase in the amount of vaginal discharge, and some people will even have very little vaginal discharge. Therefore, changes in leucorrhea in early pregnancy should not be used as a criterion for determining whether you are pregnant.

In addition, after women become pregnant, the color, properties, and taste of most leucorrhea will not change significantly, and the color is basically the same as before pregnancy. When women reach the late stage of pregnancy, the amount of leucorrhea will increase more sharply. It will be gel-like and will be discharged from the vagina in large quantities. Some pregnant women will also have a small amount of blood in their leucorrhea.

If your leucorrhea during pregnancy is accompanied by the above symptoms, vulvar and vaginal itching, pain, and burning sensation, it is very likely that you have vaginitis. At this time, it is best to go to the hospital and do not take medicine blindly.

Precautions for increased leucorrhea during pregnancy

1. Pay attention to hygiene. Use a special basin, cleaning utensils and towels to wash the vulva. Cleaning utensils should be washed before use, and towels should be dried in the sun or in a ventilated place after use. It is best to expose them to the sun to facilitate sterilization and disinfection. Because towels are not exposed to sunlight for a long time, they are prone to breed bacteria and fungi.

2. Just wash with warm water. It is not recommended to use lotion because some lotions will affect the pH value of the vagina, and some lotions contain chemical ingredients that may cause skin allergies.

3. Early pregnancy is a very important stage in a woman's pregnancy. Problems that arise during this stage often last throughout the entire pregnancy. Therefore, problems that arise at this stage must be handled with caution. If the leucorrhea is dark in color, has an unpleasant odor, or causes genital itching in early pregnancy, you need to go to the clinic for relevant examinations to confirm what kind of pathogen is causing the infection, and then take different treatments according to different pathogens. However, if the leucorrhea is just large in amount, has no bad odor, does not cause itching, and has no special color such as red, brown, or yellow-green, it is a normal pregnancy phenomenon and does not require special treatment.

4. Vaginal bleeding in early pregnancy may also be a threatened abortion, or it may be bleeding caused by pregnancy complications such as decidual polyps, cervical polyps or erosion. If a woman who is confirmed to be pregnant finds vaginal bleeding, she should go to the hospital for examination in time to rule out the above possibilities.
