Symptoms of pneumothorax in girls

For girls, the chest is a relatively sensitive area, so they are embarrassed to speak out when there is a problem. But you should know that sometimes chest pain is not a chest problem, it may be pneumothorax. The so-called pneumothorax is a state of gas accumulation caused by gas entering the pleural cavity. It should be noted that the pleural cavity is closed, and the appearance of gas will cause problems in the lungs. Therefore, early detection will reduce pain. Let’s talk about the precursors of pneumothorax symptoms in girls.

1. The most typical symptom is sudden chest pain, followed by chest tightness and difficulty breathing, accompanied by an irritating cough. The chest pain is often knife-like or needle-like, and the pain lasts for a short time. The main reason why patients experience irritating dry cough is that gas stimulates the pleura. Most pneumothorax onsets are very acute. The larger the amount of pneumothorax or the more prominent the original changes in the lungs, the more prominent the symptoms.

2. Tension pneumothorax is a common type of pneumothorax. Patients with this disease often show extreme panic or irritability, accompanied by a feeling of shortness of breath. When the attack occurs, the patient often sweats profusely and is accompanied by a feeling of suffocation. The patient's pulse becomes weak, blood pressure drops, the skin becomes cold and wet, and it may even lead to shock. In severe cases, the patient may become unconscious or fall into a coma. If rescue is not timely, it may lead to death. Patients with pneumothorax generally do not have obvious fever. Examination may reveal a significant increase in white blood cell count and erythrocyte sedimentation rate. If these symptoms occur, in addition to suspecting pneumothorax, it is also necessary to suspect whether there is a lung infection, such as tuberculosis infection or pyogenic infection. It is best to conduct further examination.

When the pleura ruptures due to disease or trauma, gas enters the chest cavity and forms pleural air accumulation, which is called pneumothorax. The severity of pneumothorax symptoms depends on the onset speed, the degree of lung compression and the condition of the primary lung disease. Typical symptoms are sudden chest pain, followed by chest tightness and difficulty breathing, and may be accompanied by an irritating cough.
