Whether it is a natural birth or a caesarean section, you need to take a month off to regulate your body, and there are certain precautions. For example, after a normal birth, the perineum should be kept clean and dry to prevent the wound from cracking. You should do more anal contraction exercises and pay attention to the wound until two weeks after delivery. This can reduce the probability of infection in the female private parts, ensure the health of women, and promote the recovery of the female body. 1. Keep the perineum clean and dry Starting from the second day after delivery, rinse the vulva with 10% CleanYin liquid, or scrub the vulva with 10% CleanYin twice a day until the stitches are removed. Avoid wiping from back to front, but wipe from front to back to prevent the perineal incision from splitting after the stitches are removed. If you feel swelling or pain in the vulvar wound, seek medical attention immediately. Generally, you can use 95% alcohol gauze wet compress or 50% magnesium sulfate hot compress. If the lochia has not been cleared yet, you should insist on washing the vulva with running water at least twice a day. It should also be washed once after defecation. When washing, wash from front to back to avoid contamination by dirt such as feces. Be sure to use a clean, dedicated towel (it is not recommended to use a basin because the dirty water in the basin will circulate and contaminate the perineal wound). Change sanitary napkins and underwear frequently. To avoid the wound from getting wet and causing infection. 2. Avoid wound dehiscence New mothers who have had an episiotomy should keep their center of gravity on the side opposite to the wound when sleeping or sitting. This can prevent lochia from contaminating the wound, prevent pressure on the wound, and stagger the incision surfaces. Keep bowel movements regular. Don't lie in bed all the time. Try to walk more often, eat more fresh vegetables and fruits, drink more fish soup, pig's trotter soup and other soups, and avoid spicy food to keep bowel movements smooth to prevent constipation. When defecating, first contract your perineum and buttocks, and then slowly sit on the toilet. If constipation occurs, do not push too hard and use a suppository temporarily. Avoid squatting or strenuous movements for a few days after your stitches are removed. When sitting, the body's center of gravity should be tilted to the right to prevent the wound from being compressed and the incision epidermis from being dislocated. Avoid falling or excessive thigh abduction, as this may reopen the wound. 3. Do more anal contraction exercises You can do it anytime, anywhere, lying down or sitting. This will not only help promote the contraction of the sphincter, but also restore the tightness of the vagina as soon as possible. 4. Always pay attention to the wound until two weeks after delivery First, check whether the wound is painful. If so, check whether the wound is red, swollen, cracked, bleeding, or pus-filled. It is best to seek medical attention immediately as the wound is likely to be infected. If you find small pustules on the wound, it may be that the absorption of the sutures is impeded. You should go to the hospital and ask the doctor to remove the sutures so that the wound can heal. Regardless of whether it is an episiotomy or a laceration, due to its physiological structure, it is difficult to maintain sterile conditions in the perineum and infection may occur at any time, so postoperative cleaning is very important. |
