What to do if stretch marks itch

Almost every pregnant mother will develop stretch marks, but some are not obvious, while others are severe. The severity of stretch marks is also closely related to personal constitution. Some people have loose skin, so their belly skin is severely torn and stretch marks are very obvious. As the pregnancy progresses, stretch marks will become more and more numerous and obvious in the later stages, and the most obvious symptom is itching. What should I do about this?

1. Usually, the symptoms of pregnancy itching in expectant mothers will not last too long. Generally, the symptoms will improve in about a week. However, if you want the symptoms to disappear completely, you may have to wait until the baby is born. If there is improvement, you generally do not need to see a doctor, and it will not harm the fetus. However, if the itching is severe and lasts for a long time, and pregnant mothers are a special group, it is best to see a doctor to avoid itching caused by other conditions so that timely prevention and treatment can be carried out.

2. If some expectant mothers experience severe and unbearable itching of stretch marks, they can go to the doctor. The doctor will give them some local medications, which they can use. Such medications will not have any effect on the pregnant mother and the fetus, and will not endanger the health of the fetus. However, this type of medicine may have some side effects that make people drowsy. As long as pregnant mothers get a good rest, there will be no impact.

3. Some stretch marks are itchy due to polymorphic eruption of pregnancy. In this case, it will cause severe itching, usually in the form of small raised lumps and red color. In addition to growing on stretch marks, some will also spread to the breasts, thighs and other parts. If it spreads, expectant mothers must seek medical treatment in time to avoid causing other adverse symptoms. On the other hand, it can also rule out whether the rash is caused by other conditions. This condition usually occurs in the middle and late stages of pregnancy and will usually resolve naturally within a few weeks after the baby is born.

4. If the stretch marks are itchy, it doesn’t matter much unless it is particularly severe. It will disappear naturally after a period of time. If the situation is particularly severe, the pregnant mother should pay attention to it, seek medical treatment in time, and follow the doctor’s instructions. It will not have any effect on the fetus. Therefore, if some expectant mothers experience itching during stretch marks, they should not worry too much.
