Where is the hymen located?

Where is the hymen located? For men and women who are experiencing sexual intercourse for the first time, they do not know the exact location of the hymen. The hymen is a natural protective membrane covering the outer opening of the vagina. It protects the vagina of unmarried girls from being easily invaded by bacteria. This is why women who have no sexual experience are less likely to suffer from gynecological diseases. Once the hymen is broken, if you do not pay attention to hygiene, the chance of developing vaginitis is much higher.

Hymen

1. The hymen is a thin membrane with a hole in the middle that covers the external opening of the vagina. It is located at the boundary between the vagina and the vaginal vestibule. The hymen is actually a layer of meat about 2 or 3 mm thick that wraps the vaginal opening.

2. The hymen is a hollow thin film covering the external opening of the female vagina. It is about 1 to 2 mm thick. Both sides of the membrane are moist mucous membranes. Between the two layers of mucous membranes are connective tissue, microvessels and nerve endings. The small hole in the middle is called the hymen hole.

3. The hymen is an opaque membrane located inside the vagina about three centimeters away from the vaginal opening. It has a certain toughness and is about one centimeter thick. There is a small hole in the middle that is about the size of a small finger.

Precautions

Now we know where the hymen is located, so the first time we must be careful to proceed slowly to reduce pain.

Where is the hymen?

1. The size of the hymen hole and the thickness of the membrane may vary from person to person.

2. The diameter of the hymen hole is about 1 to 1.5 cm, usually round, oval or serrated; some are crescent-shaped, with the hole biased to one side; some are septum-shaped holes, with two small holes arranged vertically or horizontally; some have many scattered small holes, just like the small holes on a sieve. The hymen can prevent external unclean things from entering the vagina and has the function of protecting the vagina.

3. When born, the hymen of most baby girls is ring-shaped, that is, the tissue is evenly distributed in all directions of the vaginal opening. When baby girls reach about 3 years old, a crescent-shaped hymen becomes more and more common - there is less hymen tissue on the side of the vaginal opening facing the clitoris and more hymen tissue on the side away from the clitoris.
