If a woman has uterine fibroids, she must receive timely treatment and strengthen health care and conditioning in her daily life. For uterine fibroids smaller than five centimeters, she must pay attention to good prevention and health care, and do a good job of examination and follow-up. Once some symptoms of malignancy appear, she must receive timely treatment. After all, uterine fibroids are prone to malignant transformation. In addition to being prone to malignant transformation, they are also prone to excessive bleeding in the future, causing female infertility or miscarriage. 1. Cancer. If uterine fibroids undergo sarcoma degeneration and the tumor suddenly develops and grows rapidly, there is a possibility of malignancy. Clinical investigations show that 0.5-1% of patients may develop malignant transformation. Currently, the 5-year survival rate of uterine sarcoma is only 20-30%. 2. Excessive blood loss. Uterine fibroids cause prolonged menstruation and increased bleeding, especially heavy bleeding in a short period of time, which leads to severe anemia and directly endangers the health of body functions. 3. Damage kidney function. When the fibroids grow larger, frequent urination, constipation, hydroureter, hydronephrosis, etc. may occur. When the pedicle of the fibroid is twisted, it causes acute abdominal pain; it stimulates uterine contractions and causes spasmodic pain; when the fibroid changes color and degenerates, it can cause severe pain. 4. Infertility. Infertility caused by uterine fibroids accounts for 1%-2.4% of female infertility, and the probability of uterine fibroids combined with infertility is as high as 27%. Fibroids change the morphology of the uterine cavity and the tumors hinder the implantation of fertilized eggs and affect sperm motility; they cause uterine endocrine dysfunction and endometrial tissue and functional disorders. Many patients can become pregnant again after curing uterine fibroids. 5. Miscarriage. Fibroids enlarge the uterus and cause the uterine cavity to bend and deform, leading to miscarriage; submucosal fibroids grow into the uterine cavity, just like foreign bodies in the uterine cavity, stimulating the uterus and causing spasmodic contractions, leading to miscarriage. The fertilized egg is like a seed and the uterine cavity is like the land. Changes in the land affect seed planting and hinder the growth of implanted eggs, causing miscarriage. |
