What is the cause of uterine fluid accumulation? Causes of uterine effusion

What is uterine effusion? What happens if there is uterine fluid accumulation? Uterine effusion is also called intrauterine effusion. It is the presence of inflammatory exudate in the pelvic cavity. One of the main factors causing uterine effusion is that when the endometrium becomes inflamed, a slightly viscous fluid exudates from the swollen cells of the endometrial tissue and is gradually wrapped by the surrounding tissue to form a cystic mass.

The main causes of uterine effusion are:

1. Uterine bleeding; 2. Endometritis; 3. Adhesion and blockage of the cervical canal; 4. Genital malformation.

Uterine effusion is mainly caused by pelvic inflammation, and its clinical manifestations include irregular menstruation, sexual dysfunction, infertility, etc. Therefore, uterine effusion must be treated systematically and scientifically as early as possible to avoid its prolongation and recurrence.

Does uterine effusion need treatment?

Whether uterine effusion requires treatment depends on the amount of uterine effusion. Under normal circumstances, there is a small amount of fluid in the pelvic and abdominal cavity, which mainly plays the role of lubricating the surface of the organs and reducing friction between the organs, and also has a certain defensive function.

In addition, during the ovulation period of each month, the follicle ruptures and the follicular fluid flows into the pelvic and abdominal cavity. At this time, an ultrasound examination will also show a small amount of fluid accumulation in the uterine rectal fossa.

In addition, a small amount of menstrual blood may flow back into the abdominal cavity during menstruation, which may also cause a small amount of pelvic fluid accumulation. A small amount of fluid accumulation in the rectouterine fossa is a normal physiological phenomenon and there is no need to worry too much. First consider whether the ultrasound examination was done during the menstrual period or ovulation period, and recheck if necessary.

Generally, physiological pelvic effusion can be absorbed by itself and does not require treatment. Do not blindly take antibiotics or certain Chinese patent medicines for clearing heat and removing dampness, so as to avoid the abuse of antibiotics or drugs.
