Pain in the lower left abdomen of women is a phenomenon that many female friends have experienced in daily life. It has a great impact on women’s normal life and work. Therefore, it is very beneficial for women’s health to understand the causes of pain in the lower left abdomen of women and take preventive measures. In fact, pain in the lower left abdomen of women is related to three factors. The first reason is dysmenorrhea. 1. Dysmenorrhea Dysmenorrhea is divided into primary and secondary types. Primary dysmenorrhea is more common in uterine hypoplasia, stenosis of the cervical opening or cervical canal, and excessive uterine curvature, which make menstrual blood flow out poorly and cause menstrual blood retention, thereby stimulating uterine contraction and causing dysmenorrhea. Secondary dysmenorrhea is often caused by pelvic inflammation, tumors or endometriosis. Menstrual pain is a common physiological phenomenon among women. When menstruation comes, there will be varying degrees of lower abdominal pain, sometimes even accompanied by symptoms such as bloating, chills, diarrhea, and back pain. When women experience this kind of physiological menstrual pain, it is recommended that they go to the obstetrics and gynecology department for examination first. If the possibility of gynecological diseases is ruled out, there is no need to worry. You can apply hot compresses or take painkillers to relieve the pain. 2. Ovarian cyst torsion Ovarian cysts are caused by the acidification of body tissue fluids. Body cells are in acidic body fluids, which results in a decrease in the amount of dissolved oxygen in normal body cells. This causes a decrease in cell activity and a slowdown in metabolic cycles. When the amount drops to 65% of the normal value, normal cells cannot survive. However, there are also cells that actively mutate by changing their chromosomes. The cell phenotype changes, and tumor traits are expressed. These cells proliferate rapidly, thus forming a true tumor entity. 3. Rupture of corpus luteum cyst In the early stages of corpus luteum cyst formation, corpus luteum cells are still present and are rich in lipids. Only the inner layer of the cyst wall is fibrotic, with luteinized granulosa cells and theca cells visible, and there may or may not be blood in the cyst. In the later stage, the cyst wall becomes fibrotic with varying degrees of hyaline changes. Because the cyst continues to secrete progesterone, the menstrual cycle is often delayed. If the cyst ruptures, abdominal pain and vaginal bleeding may occur, which is very similar to the rupture of an ectopic pregnancy. Therefore, when abdominal pain occurs, the most correct treatment principle is to see a doctor as soon as possible to find out the cause of the disease and receive appropriate treatment for the symptoms. |
