What are the precautions after laparoscopic surgery for uterine fibroids?

Uterine fibroids are common uterine tumors, which are common in middle-aged women. They can cause symptoms such as increased menstruation and prolonged menstruation. Severe uterine fibroids can be treated with laparoscopic surgery. After the operation, pay attention to the dryness and cleanliness of the wound, and adjust your diet and eat a light diet.

1. Pay attention to cleanliness: the incision on the abdominal wall needs to be kept dry after discharge. Because the stitches have just been removed when you are discharged from the hospital, the wound has not yet healed completely and the scab on the incision has not yet fallen off, so it is not advisable to bathe. Of course, the skin all over the body still needs to be kept clean by taking a bath, and washing the perineum every night or after defecation. It is recommended to bathe again after one week, but bathing in a tub is prohibited.

2. Observe for any abnormal symptoms: Since there are wounds on the patient's uterine wall, there will be a small amount of vaginal bleeding after the operation, which generally will not exceed 10 days and is normal. If it lasts more than half a month, you should go to the hospital for examination; after total hysterectomy, there may be a small amount of yellow secretions or bloody secretions in 10-15 days, which can be observed for a few days. If purulent secretions occur, you should go to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment as soon as possible, find out the cause, and deal with it in time.

3. No sexual intercourse within one month. After a subtotal hysterectomy or total hysterectomy, sexual life can be resumed only after a follow-up examination at the hospital three months later and the results are normal.

4. Diet adjustment: After the operation, the diet should be light, no irritating foods should be taken, and spicy foods such as chili peppers and white wine should be avoided. Eat nutritious and easily digestible foods. For the elderly and weak, the time for eating liquid and semi-liquid food should be appropriately extended to facilitate digestion, which can both ensure nutrition and increase appetite, and they will recover quickly.

Especially women have many things to pay attention to after surgery, especially patients with uterine fibroids must take good care of themselves, especially pay attention to some methods of conditioning, especially to know the importance and role of the body, good health care is the most critical.
