Is it normal for my period to come 10 days early?

Whether a woman's menstrual cycle is regular or not can reflect the health of her body. An irregular menstrual cycle may indicate that there is a problem with your reproductive health. For example, if your period is always early, it is a phenomenon of irregular menstruation. The cause must be identified and scientifically regulated.

1. What is the cause of early menstruation?

Under normal circumstances, a woman's menstrual cycle is about 28 days. If the menstrual period lasts more than seven days, it is necessary to find out the cause, as this is an abnormal situation. If it is only 3 to 5 days ahead of schedule and there are no other obvious symptoms, it is within the normal range. Occasionally, the menstrual period comes ahead of schedule, but it is not considered as an early menstrual period.

2. Is it normal to have your period 10 days earlier?

The normal menstrual cycle of women is about 28 days. If the menstrual cycle is always more than 7 days ahead of schedule, or even twice in a month, it is called "early menstrual cycle", also known as "early menstruation" or "early menstruation". If it is only 3-5 days ahead of schedule and there are no other significant symptoms, it is within the normal range. Occasionally ahead of schedule is not considered early menstruation.

If a woman's menstruation comes ten days early only occasionally, there is no need to be nervous. However, if it comes ten days early every time, it is abnormal and she should go to the hospital for examination in time.

3. Menstruation comes half a month earlier

If menstruation comes half a month earlier, it may be caused by luteal insufficiency. This disease often occurs during the childbearing age because the relatively fixed luteal phase becomes shorter, which shortens the menstrual cycle.

It may also be dysfunctional uterine bleeding during adolescence, which is caused by the incomplete development of the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian function. Alternatively, if menstruation occurs half a month earlier, it may be menopausal dysfunctional uterine bleeding, which is caused by ovarian dysfunction.

If you are over 35 years old and your period comes half a month earlier, it is most likely caused by poor ovarian reserve function; some women with heavy ovulation bleeding may also experience frequent menstruation. In addition, severe uterine fibroids may also cause heavy menstruation, frequent menstruation or shortened menstrual cycles.
