What are the precautions for HIFU surgery for uterine fibroids?

If you want to effectively treat uterine fibroids, surgery is actually the more commonly used method nowadays. The advantages of HIFU surgical treatment are more obvious because it can better reduce some complications and side effects, but you must also pay attention to care during and after the operation.

It is normal for necrotic fibroid tissue to be discharged along with menstruation after HIFU treatment. The discharge of uterine fibroids is common in uterine fibroids close to the endometrium or submucosal uterine fibroids. There are two forms of expression:

1. The discharge of dark red fluid accompanied by tissue fragments continues for a period of time after each menstruation, or the discharge of dark red fluid accompanied by tissue fragments is unrelated to the menstrual cycle. The duration of the discharge of dark red fluid is positively correlated with the size of uterine fibroids. Ultrasound examination showed that the ablated uterine fibroids significantly shrank or disappeared over time, the endometrium was incomplete or unclear, and a small amount of fluid was visible in the uterine cavity. The main thing to observe in this situation is to pay attention to personal hygiene and prevent infection.

2. After a period of dark red liquid discharge, paroxysmal abdominal pain or persistent abdominal pain with paroxysmal aggravation suddenly occurs, and then the ablated uterine fibroids are discharged from the vagina. After the onset of abdominal pain, ultrasound examination before the expulsion of the uterine fibroids showed that the boundaries of the ablated uterine fibroids were clearer, deformed and displaced, and the endometrium was incomplete or unclear. In this case, only observation is needed, but abdominal pain may last for a long time, and if the uterine fibroids are not discharged, you need to go to the hospital for treatment and use other auxiliary methods to remove them.

3. In fact, it is better if the necrotic myoma can be discharged from the body through menstruation. In this way, if there are some symptoms of dysmenorrhea and increased menstrual flow before treatment, they will improve faster. However, during the discharge process, abdominal pain may occur, and sometimes the menstrual flow will increase. During this period, it is recommended that you relax, do some moderate activities, and keep warm during menstruation to relieve discomfort. Of course, it is normal if these phenomena do not occur, and there is no need to worry.
