Blood pressure age standard for women

Blood pressure age standard for women

The blood pressure range of normal adults under resting conditions is relatively stable. The normal range is systolic pressure 90-139 mmHg, systolic pressure 60-89 mmHg, and pulse pressure 30-40 mmHg. This standard value range is also the standard for outpatient diagnosis of hypertension in hospitals. However, with increasing age, blood pressure will also increase, and the normal blood pressure standards for different ages are also different.

In daily life, many people are found to have high blood pressure during routine physical examinations, so they think they have high blood pressure. In fact, blood pressure levels are different for different age groups. Measuring high blood pressure does not mean that you have hypertension, so everyone must not confuse them. Let's discuss the age and blood pressure correspondence table below.

Generally speaking, the normal blood pressure values for people aged 16-25 are 115/73mmHg for men and 110/70mmHg for women; the normal blood pressure values for people aged 26-35 are 117/75mmHg for men and 114/73mmHg for women; the normal blood pressure values for people aged 36-45 are 124/80mmHg for men and 122/76mmHg for women; the normal blood pressure values for people aged 46-55 are 134/82mmHg for men and 134/79mmHg for women; the normal blood pressure values for people aged 56-65 are 148/84mmHg for men and 145/82mmHg for women.

It takes a certain amount of pressure for human blood to travel to all parts of the body, and this pressure is blood pressure. If blood pressure is too low, the body's various parts will have insufficient supply of nutrients and oxygen, causing dizziness, fatigue, and even fainting, and it will also increase the risk of stroke; if blood pressure is too high, excessive pressure will damage every organ and tissue of the body, including blood vessels, heart and kidney function, and will also increase the risk of stroke.

Blood pressure is not static, it is just changing in a regular pattern. Whether it is normal blood pressure or high blood pressure, it changes with the change of seasons, and blood pressure is usually higher in winter than in summer. Blood pressure is also different throughout the day, following the regularity of biorhythms: the highest in the morning at 6:00-10:00; the second highest value occurs at noon at 16:00-18:00; from 18:00 onwards, blood pressure gradually decreases and is at a relatively low level at night. There are also differences in blood pressure between men and women.

Things to note

1. Blood pressure measurement is easily affected by various factors, such as mood changes, exercise, temperature, etc. A single measurement cannot be used as a diagnosis result;

2. For those who are over 50 years old or have a history of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, it is recommended to measure and record blood pressure on time every day;

3. If you have other medical conditions, such as diabetes, kidney disease, etc., follow the clinician's advice.

Lowering blood pressure is not the only purpose of treating hypertension, nor is it the only criterion for evaluating the effectiveness of drugs. An ideal antihypertensive drug should, while lowering blood pressure, not affect lipid metabolism and glycolysis, protect "target organs", and have no significant side effects. Such a drug should be suitable for long-term use and be considered a more ideal drug.
