How to get your period early? These methods can help you get your period early

Women's menstruation has a certain cycle, but there are often special circumstances that require early menstruation. Common methods of inducing menstruation include taking progesterone, and some methods can also be used to delay menstruation, but the disadvantages outweigh the advantages.

1. Methods for inducing early menstruation: From the 16th day of menstruation, intramuscular injection of progesterone 20 mg or oral administration of 10-12 mg of medroxyprogesterone for 5 days daily, and menstruation will occur 3-7 days after stopping the medication;

2. Methods to delay the arrival of menstruation: ① Contraceptive Type I (Norethindrone) or Type II short-acting oral contraceptive, start taking from the 5th day of menstruation, 2 tablets a day for 2 weeks, increase to 4 tablets a day from the 3rd week; ② Oral progestin drugs such as Fukang Tablets (norethisterone) or Funing Tablets (megestrol), start taking 10 mg orally every day from the 16th day of menstruation; ③ Non-hormonal mifepristone, start taking 25 mg orally every day from the 5th day of menstruation.

Please remember that the above methods ①, ②, and ③ must be taken continuously until the "critical period" is passed and then discontinued. Generally, menstruation will occur within 7 days after stopping the medication. It is worth noting that the abnormal use of sex hormones may disrupt future menstrual cycles. Therefore, these methods should not be used for a long time, let alone abused. If menstrual disorders occur, please seek treatment from a gynecologist in time. In addition, some people will experience dizziness, fatigue, nausea, vomiting and other early pregnancy reactions when taking sex hormones for the first time; those who are prohibited from taking sex hormones include: women over 40 years old, breastfeeding women, women with hypertension, diabetes, liver and kidney diseases, thyroid diseases, thromboembolic diseases, and women with malignant tumors of the breast or reproductive organs or suspected tumors.

In general, it is not advisable to artificially change the normal menstrual cycle. The disadvantages outweigh the advantages, and doctors do not recommend its use in daily life. Therefore, it is best to discuss with your family doctor before using any "secret recipe".
