What are the symptoms of ovarian disease?

Ovarian disease can present with a variety of symptoms, such as gastrointestinal discomfort, because patients are often prone to abdominal distension, indigestion, abdominal pain, and abdominal swelling. They may also present with irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, or be accompanied by frequent urination and anal obstruction.

1. Age of onset: Ovarian cancer can occur at any age, with the highest incidence after the age of 40. It is most common in middle-aged women around 50 years old or before and after menopause, but it can also occur in girls under 20 years old.

2. Gastrointestinal discomfort: The first symptoms of early patients often appear in the gastrointestinal tract. Almost all patients seek medical attention due to abdominal distension, poor appetite, decreased appetite or obvious weight loss. If ascites is present, abdominal distension will be more obvious and abdominal pain may also occur.

3. Abdominal mass: Most patients accidentally feel a mass in the lower abdomen when they wake up in the morning with a full bladder. If the mass grows rapidly or ascites appears, this disease should be highly suspected.

4. Menstrual changes: About 1/2 of ovarian cancer patients have irregular menstruation and irregular vaginal bleeding. Clinically, it has also been found that people with ovarian insufficiency, such as delayed menarche and early menopause, dysmenorrhea, singleness, infertility or a family history of ovarian cancer are susceptible to this disease.

5. Compression symptoms : What are the symptoms of ovarian disease? Larger pelvic tumors often present with obvious compression symptoms, as well as discomfort such as frequent urination, urgent bowel movements, anal congestion, lower abdominal distension, or difficulty in defecation.
