If the lump has already formed pus but has not yet matured, and is a mixture of soft and hard tumors, Chinese medicine can be used as the main agent for replenishing qi and blood, and expelling toxins, such as Tounong San or Tuoli Xiaodu San with modifications. If pus has formed, the incision should be opened promptly and the diseased duct of the nipple should be removed. Anti-necrosis and muscle-growing drugs can be used. If a single, small and localized sinus tract/fistula has formed and there is no acute inflammation, sinus tract and fistula surgery can be performed.
