What causes an enlarged uterine cavity? Four major reasons for an enlarged uterine cavity

An enlarged uterine cavity is a manifestation of chronic cervicitis, which is caused by ovarian dysfunction or other inflammations. If it is just a simple symptom without other symptoms, it can be ignored, but if it is accompanied by other symptoms, it should be treated as soon as possible.

Uterine hypertrophy in women is a manifestation of chronic cervicitis. If it is simple hypertrophy without cervical erosion, it can be temporarily untreated during close follow-up. A colposcopy can be performed once a year to understand the growth of cervical epithelial cells and detect abnormalities in a timely manner. Female uterine hypertrophy refers to a disease in which the uterus is uniformly enlarged and accompanied by varying degrees of uterine bleeding. The causes and pathological changes of female uterine hypertrophy are roughly as follows:

1. Women who have given birth too many times have the elastic fiber tissue in the myometrium of their uterus proliferate between the smooth muscles and around the blood vessels, causing uterine hypertrophy; or due to repeated infections in the postpartum period, the uterus is not fully restored, causing uterine hypertrophy.

2. It is caused by ovarian dysfunction, excessive estrogen secretion and long-term stimulation, which leads to hypertrophy of the uterine muscle layer.

3. Chronic adnexal or uterine parenchymal inflammation causes uterine fibrosis and can also lead to uterine hypertrophy.

4. Pelvic congestion or uterine myometrial vascular sclerosis can cause hyperplasia of uterine connective tissue, leading to uterine hypertrophy.
