What causes acute pelvic inflammatory disease? See these reasons early

As for what causes acute pelvic inflammatory disease, it is related to many reasons, such as infection after some intrauterine surgical operations.

1. Infection after intrauterine surgery

Such as curettage, hydrotubation, hysterosalpingography, laparoscopy and hydrotubation, etc., due to infection caused by improper surgical disinfection or improper selection of preoperative indications, such as chronic inflammation of the genitals, which may cause acute attacks and spread due to surgical interference.

2. Direct spread of inflammation to adjacent organs

For example, appendicitis, peritonitis, etc. are mainly caused by Escherichia coli.

3. Acute attack of chronic pelvic inflammatory disease.

4. Intrauterine device

First, it can cause acute pelvic inflammatory disease within 10 days of intrauterine device placement, and the infection at this time is mainly caused by aerobic and anaerobic bacteria; second, secondary infection after long-term placement of an intrauterine device can cause chronic inflammation, which can sometimes occur acutely.

5. Pathogens

① Endogenous pathogens, which come from the flora originally living in the vagina, including aerobic and anaerobic bacteria;

② Exogenous pathogens, pathogens from the outside, mainly pathogens of sexually transmitted diseases, such as Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Chlamydia trachomatis, Mycoplasma, and others include Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, etc. The pathogens that cause pelvic inflammatory disease can be pure aerobic bacteria, pure anaerobic bacteria, or a mixed infection of aerobic and anaerobic bacteria; it may be accompanied by or without pathogens of sexually transmitted diseases. Pelvic inflammatory disease is often a mixed infection of aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, and about 2/3 of cases are combined with anaerobic infection.
