Do you know the symptoms of endometrial polyps?

The most obvious symptom of endometrial polyps is that patients will experience irregular menstruation and abnormal leucorrhea. In addition, patients may also experience irregular uterine bleeding, dysmenorrhea, and heavy stools.

Symptom 1: Menstrual irregularities: Heavy menstruation and prolonged menstruation are common, which are related to the increase in the area of the endometrium and excessive endometrial hyperplasia.

Symptom 2: Abnormal leucorrhea: A small number of patients with larger polyps will experience increased leucorrhea. Or there may be a trace of blood in the center of the leucorrhea, or even a small amount of vaginal bleeding, which is bloody leucorrhea or contact bleeding. Bleeding is especially likely to occur after sexual intercourse and when squatting and straining to defecate.

Symptom 3: Irregular uterine bleeding: Large polyps or polyps that protrude into the cervical canal are prone to secondary infection and necrosis, causing irregular uterine bleeding and foul-smelling bloody secretions.

Symptom 4: Dysmenorrhea : It is a relatively common symptom, mostly secondary. In the past, there was no pain during menstruation, but dysmenorrhea began to appear from a certain period.

Symptom 5. Heavy and distended stools and bladder symptoms: Heavy and distended stools usually occur before or after menstruation. The patient feels unbearable pain when stool passes through the rectum, but does not have this feeling at other times. There are periodic symptoms of frequent urination and painful urination. When the bladder mucosa is invaded, periodic hematuria may occur.

Endometrial polyps

One of the dangers of endometrial polyps is manifested in symptoms. Patients with endometrial polyps will have the following symptoms: menstrual disorders, increased menstrual flow, prolonged menstrual period, variable bleeding, and spotting. Large endometrial polyps or polyps that protrude into the cervical canal are prone to infection and necrosis, causing irregular vaginal bleeding and foul-smelling bloody discharge. Patients with a single, small endometrial polyp may have no symptoms. Due to the lack of typical symptoms, endometrial polyps are often difficult to detect clinically.

In addition, endometrial polyps not only hinder the combination of sperm and egg, but may also interfere with the implantation and development of the fertilized egg. If endometrial polyps are accompanied by infection, the environment within the uterine cavity will change, which is not conducive to sperm survival and fertilized egg implantation. If pregnancy occurs, miscarriage is likely to occur in the early stages due to poor blood supply to the placenta, and in the late stages due to space-occupying lesions. Therefore, if you suffer from the harm of endometrial polyps, you must seek timely treatment to avoid delaying the disease.
