Revealing the five most common causes of postmenopausal bleeding!

Revealing the five most common causes of postmenopausal bleeding!

Generally speaking, women will no longer experience vaginal bleeding after menopause, but some women find that they still have bleeding symptoms after menopause. What is going on?

1. Infection

Due to the rapid drop in estrogen levels after menopause, the resistance of the endometrium is reduced, making it more susceptible to bacterial infection, resulting in endometritis and superficial capillary bleeding.

2. Hyperplasia

The high level of follicle-stimulating hormone in the body stimulates endometrial hyperplasia and causes bleeding.

3. Cervical lesions

Cervical lesions such as cervical erosion and cervical polyps.

4. Cancer

Cancer of the cervix and endometrium.

5. Endocrine disorders

Although the hormone secretion of the ovaries decreases after menopause, the adrenal glands can still secrete a small amount of estrogen, which gradually accumulates and causes the growth of the endometrium and endometrial blood loss. The blood or bloody secretions flowing out of the vagina may come from the uterine cavity and flow out through the vagina; it may also come from the fallopian tube and flow out through the uterine cavity, cervix, and vagina; it may also come from the cervix or vagina.

There are other medical conditions that can also cause bleeding. Therefore, there is no need to be panic or careless if bleeding occurs after menopause. You should go to the hospital for examination as soon as possible. If the time from menopause to the next bleeding is short, it is mostly benign. The longer the time from menopause to bleeding, the higher the incidence of malignant tumors.
