Endometrial cancer diagnosis method

Endometrial cancer diagnosis method

Cancer has become a nightmare for many people. Cancer is a great threat to our health. Endometrial cancer is a common gynecological tumor. Its cause is still not very clear. There are many ways to detect endometrial cancer. There are three main methods, namely B-ultrasound examination, hysteroscopy and diagnostic curettage. The three examination methods have different characteristics.

How is endometrial cancer diagnosed?

B-ultrasound is a common method in the examination of gynecological diseases. Ultrasound can detect the size, location, and degree of invasion of the uterine cavity, and the diagnosis pass rate is quite high. Hysteroscopy is an optical examination method that uses carbon dioxide gas to dilate the uterus, allowing for a clearer view of not only the uterine cavity but also the cervical canal. Because hysteroscopy can observe the location, size, and type of borders of tumors, its accuracy rate exceeds that of B-ultrasound examination, generally above 90%, so it can also be used to observe smaller and early-stage lesions.

The third method of hysteroscopic surgery is diagnostic curettage, which is an indispensable method. This method can distinguish cervical adenocarcinoma from endometrial cancer and avoid misdiagnosis. A small scraper can be used to scrape the tissue in the cervical canal, and then enter the uterine cavity to scrape the tissues on both sides of the uterus and the anterior and posterior walls of the uterine body, and then can it be sent for pathological examination. Once endometrial cancer is diagnosed, patients need to actively seek treatment to recover as soon as possible. For patients with early-stage endometrial cancer, surgery is an ideal method. For those patients who are not suitable for surgical treatment, radiotherapy is a very good method, and the effect of radiotherapy has always been very prominent.

Generally speaking, endometrial cancer is a gynecological tumor with a high incidence rate. There are three main ways to examine it. B-ultrasound examination, hysteroscopy and diagnostic curettage are all main examination methods. B-ultrasound examination is the basic examination method. Hysteroscopy has higher accuracy than B-ultrasound. Diagnostic curettage is also an indispensable diagnosis method.
