Where are uterine fibroids located?

According to the different locations of uterine fibroids in the uterus, they are divided into the following types:

1. Intramural fibroids: Uterine fibroids are located within the muscular wall and are surrounded by the muscular layer. This type of uterine fibroid is more common when the disease first occurs, so it is the most common, accounting for about 60-70%.

2. Subserosal fibroids: Intramural fibroids tend to develop toward the serosa, protrude from the surface of the uterus, and are in direct contact with the serosa, accounting for about 20%. If it grows between the two leaves of the broad tendon, it is an intratendinous fibroid.

3. Cervical fibroids: Intramural fibroids grow into the uterine cavity, protrude from the uterine body, and are in direct contact with the mucosal layer, accounting for about 10%-15%. This tumor can cause the uterus to gradually expand and deform, and the pedicle often connects to the uterus. If the pedicle is long, it can block the cervical opening or slip into the female vagina.

4. Cervical fibroids are relatively rare. Uterine fibroids grow in the cervix. Because of their low growth position, they can be embedded in the pelvis, causing compression symptoms. Surgical removal is difficult and can easily damage the urethra and bladder. Uterine fibroids are often multiple, and the above different types of uterine fibroids can occur in the same uterus at the same time, which is called multiple uterine fibroids.

The location of uterine fibroids in the uterus is different. The treatment methods for uterine fibroids include Western medicine treatment, medication treatment, surgical treatment, Chinese medicine treatment, Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation and treatment, and home treatment. Therefore, the details should be further clarified and corresponding countermeasures should be made subsequently. During menstruation, you should be cautious when using blood-activating and blood-stasis-removing drugs to prevent increased bleeding, and your diet should also be dominated by light foods.
