Nine reasons why women have itchy lower body, check it out

Many women in life will have the problem of itching in their lower body. This problem not only causes discomfort to the female body, but is also a very embarrassing thing. It can be said to be a physical and mental torture. So what is going on with this phenomenon?

1. Dry weather

Many women will experience vulvar itching when the weather is dry, which is mostly manifested as persistent or paroxysmal itching, and often worsens at night. The itching often occurs around the labia majora and minora and in the clitoris, affecting sleep. Moreover, many women with vulvar itching scratch unconsciously after falling asleep, which may cause local skin ulcers or scratch marks, and make the vulvar skin red, swollen and infected.

2. Trichomoniasis

Female friends experience itching of the vulva, vagina, urethra, foamy leucorrhea, often with a peculiar odor, and after scratching, the vulva also develops eczematous dermatitis changes. A vaginal smear test can be used to distinguish it from the above conditions.

3. Fungal vaginitis

Female friends may experience itching of the vulva, vagina, vaginal opening, urethral opening, vulvar flushing, and dregs-like leucorrhea with an odor. Scratching may cause eczematous changes of the vulvar dermatitis.

4. Vulvar congestion during pregnancy and premenstrual period

Can cause vulvar itching and discomfort.

5. Sitting for a long time

Women who sit in the office for a long time and do not move often are very likely to experience symptoms of vulvar itching. Sitting in a chair for a long time without moving will make the vulva stuffy, especially in chairs with very soft cushions.

6. Psychological factors

Some patients have very severe vulvar itching, but no obvious systemic or local cause can be found, which may be related to mental or psychological factors.

7. Drug allergy or chemical irritation

Soap, condoms, mercurochrome, etc. can cause contact dermatitis due to direct irritation or allergies, resulting in itching symptoms.

8. Viral infection

Genital warts mostly occur on the female vaginal wall, cervix and vulva, and may also cause foul-smelling leucorrhea. Molluscum contagiosum occurring in the vulva often presents as round papules with an umbilical-like depression in the center, and may also cause vulvar itching.

9. Other causes of vaginal itching

When women suffer from diabetes, due to the irritation of the vulvar skin by urine sugar, they are prone to complications of bacterial vulvar and vaginitis, causing vulvar itching. When jaundice occurs due to liver, gallbladder and other diseases, itching may also occur on the skin due to the irritation of bile salts due to the increase of bilirubin in the blood. In addition, some women may experience vaginal itching due to psychological factors when they are under stress.
