Reasons for sweating during sleep after childbirth

Speaking of sweating, I believe everyone is familiar with it! Generally speaking, this disease is caused by excessive physical weakness, and it is particularly prone to occur in children or postpartum women. For example, many female friends sweat when sleeping after giving birth, and always feel sweating all over their body. How to deal with these problems?

In the first week after delivery, women will basically sweat a lot, especially when sleeping, their clothes and quilts will often be soaked. This physiological phenomenon is called pedicure sweat in medicine, and it will stop naturally after about 7 days.

As the gestational age of pregnant women increases, estrogen levels will gradually increase, and estrogen can promote water and sodium retention in the body. Hormone levels drop quickly after delivery, and retained water and sodium will be excreted through the kidneys, so urination is also more frequent in the first few days after delivery. It is not enough to excrete a large amount of water and sodium only from the kidneys. In addition, the pores of the skin are open at this time and the excretion function is particularly strong, which manifests as increased sweating.

Many people believe that postpartum puerperal sweat is a sign of decreased body resistance and physical weakness, so they particularly emphasize that you should not be exposed to the wind during the confinement period and should "cover yourself". In fact, the heavy sweating after childbirth is not what we usually understand as night sweats. You can use a dry towel to clean frequently, change clothes in time to keep it clean and dry, but you cannot close the house tightly for fear of a little wind blowing in. The maternity room should be ventilated regularly to keep the air fresh, which is beneficial to both the mother and the baby.

In addition, excessive sweating after childbirth, called "bed sweat", is not a sign of physical weakness.

Symptoms of puerperal sweat: Postpartum women sweat a lot, which is called puerperal sweat. The cause is that the blood volume of women increases after pregnancy, and water and sodium are retained.

After childbirth, metabolism and hormone levels drop significantly. The body no longer needs so much blood circulation and water, which must be excreted from the body, part of which is excreted through the sweat glands.

Measures should be taken to prevent colds after sweating;

Don’t wait until your mouth becomes dry before drinking water;

Change and wash underwear frequently;

Use a towel to wipe off sweat on your body before changing clothes to keep your skin clean and hygienic.

Regarding sweating while sleeping after childbirth, everyone should pay more attention in daily life, especially their diet. They should eat nutritious food to prevent their body from recovering quickly after childbirth, to help everyone regulate their health.
