1. Sweet potato porridge

Ingredients: 150 grams of sweet potato, 50 grams of polished rice, 25 grams of black plum meat, and appropriate amount of sugar.

Method: Peel the sweet potatoes, wash and cut into dices, blanch them in boiling water, remove and set aside; wash the black plum meat, cut into small pieces for later use. Wash the japonica rice with clean water, put it in a basin, add 250 ml of clean water, steam it in a steamer for 10 minutes, and take it out. Put the steamed glutinous rice into the pot, then add 600 ml of water, diced sweet potatoes and black plum meat, cook over medium heat until thick, add sugar and cook until deepened.

2. Lotus seed and Euryale ferox porridge

Efficacy: Lotus seed and Euryale ferox porridge can strengthen the spleen, replenish qi, nourish the stomach, and replenish the kidney and consolidate the essence.

Ingredients: 50 grams of lotus seeds, 15 grams of water chestnuts, and 300 grams of rice.

Method: Rinse the lotus seeds, water chestnuts and rice. Put the above ingredients into the pot at the same time, add appropriate amount of water, and simmer over low heat. After the pot boils, turn to low heat and simmer for a while. When cooking porridge, add more water and don't make it too thick.

3. Almond and red bean porridge

Efficacy: Red beans are mild in nature, sweet in taste, rich in minerals and vitamins, and have the effect of nourishing the stomach and protecting the spleen. Jujube has the effect of protecting the liver. Almonds promote digestion and absorption, also have the effect of relieving constipation, and can lower cholesterol levels in the body. Red bean and almond porridge is a healthy porridge that nourishes qi and the heart, moistens the lungs and detoxifies, nourishes the stomach and protects the spleen.

Ingredients: 50 grams of jujube, 50 grams of American almonds, 50 grams of red beans, and 200 grams of rice.

Method: Soak almonds and red beans in clean water overnight in advance. Put all the ingredients into the soup bucket of the slow cooker, add 2 liters of water at a time, put it on the fire, boil it over high heat, and cook for 10 minutes. Put the preliminarily heated porridge bucket into the outer pot, cover the pot with the lid and leave it for 8 hours. Open it after 8 hours and you can enjoy the fragrant, thick and healthy almond and red bean porridge.
