What to do if pelvic effusion causes pain? There are ways to treat pelvic effusion

Pelvic effusion refers to the presence of inflammatory exudate in the female pelvic cavity, which has a great impact on women's physical health. There are many causes of pelvic effusion, such as gynecological inflammation, unclean menstruation, etc. Pelvic effusion usually causes abdominal pain in women. So what should we do if we have pelvic effusion pain?

1. Physical therapy

1: The benign stimulation of warmth can promote local blood circulation in the pelvic cavity, improve the nutritional status of tissues, enhance metabolism, and facilitate the absorption and disappearance of inflammation. Commonly used ones are shortwave, ultrashort wave, iontophoresis (various drugs such as penicillin, streptomycin, etc. can be added), wax therapy, etc.

2. Chinese medicine treatment

1: Chronic pelvic inflammatory disease is mostly of damp-heat type, and the treatment principle is mainly to clear away heat and dampness, and promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis. Specific prescription: Salvia miltiorrhiza 18g, Red Peony Root 15g, Costusroot 12g, Peach Kernel 9g, Honeysuckle 30g, Taraxacum Mulberry 30g, Poria 12g, Moutan Bark 9g, Rehmannia Glutinosa 9g. If the pain is severe, add 9g of Corydalis yanhusuo. Some patients are of the cold stagnation and qi stagnation type, and the treatment principle is to warm the meridians and dispel the cold, promote qi and activate blood circulation. Guizhi Fuling Decoction is often used with modifications. For those with qi deficiency, add 15g of Codonopsis pilosula, 9g of Atractylodes macrocephala, and 15g of Astragalus membranaceus.

III. General treatment

1: Relieve patients' mental concerns, enhance their confidence in treatment, increase nutrition, exercise, pay attention to the combination of work and rest, and improve the body's resistance.

4. Exercise therapy

Pelvic effusion is mostly caused by pelvic inflammation. From a certain perspective, pelvic organ infection and inflammation are related to the reduction of immunity and resistance. Maintaining a moderate amount of exercise over a long period of time helps to enhance the body's resistance and strengthen the body's anti-inflammatory ability. As a result, the pelvic effusion gradually improved. In addition, eating more nutritious foods such as eggs, tofu, spinach, etc. can also help cure the disease.

Five: surgical treatment

Patients with lumps such as hydrosalpinx or tubo-ovarian cysts can undergo surgical treatment; patients with small foci of infection and repeated inflammation are also suitable for surgical treatment. The principle of surgery is complete cure to avoid recurrence of residual lesions. Unilateral oophorectomy or radical hysterectomy plus bilateral oophorectomy is performed. For young women, ovarian function should be preserved as much as possible. Single therapy for chronic pelvic inflammatory disease is less effective, so comprehensive treatment is appropriate.

6. Hot compress treatment

Place a hot water bottle or heat pad on the patient's lower abdomen for hot compress. This hot compress can dilate blood vessels in the body, speed up blood circulation, and accelerate the body's metabolism, thereby enhancing the phagocytic effect of white blood cells. In the early stages of pelvic inflammation, this hot compress method can promote the absorption and dissipation of inflammatory exudates, thereby achieving the purpose of treating pelvic effusion.

Seven: Pelvic effusion is often associated with menstruation

It is related to not paying attention to personal hygiene. At this time, the cervix dilates and the blood sinuses inside the uterine cavity are open. If personal hygiene is not in place, unclean sanitary napkins are used or not replaced in time, or sexual intercourse is performed during menstruation, etc., it can cause bacteria to grow and cause pelvic inflammatory disease and pelvic effusion.
