Why does a woman's lower body itch?

Due to the special physiological structure of women, private parts are very vulnerable to invasion. One of the most common conditions is itching in the lower body, which is not only very uncomfortable, but also extremely embarrassing and uneasy. Therefore, it is very important to understand the causes of lower body itching, which can enable us to detect physical problems in time and solve them reasonably. So, what causes itching in women's lower body? Let's take a look at these factors below.

1. External stimulation: such as not paying attention to the hygiene of the vulva, irritation of vaginal secretions

Vulvar itching can be caused by stimulation from irritants, vulvar secretions, sweat, moisture, immersion, chemical fiber underwear, unqualified menstrual belts, rough toilet paper, allergies caused by medication in the vulva and vagina, and frequent washing of the vulva with soap.

2. Caused by infectious diseases: such as candidal vaginitis, Trichomonas vaginitis, infection with pubic lice, scabies, pinworms, etc. In addition to vulvar itching, candidal vaginitis will also cause tofu-like leucorrhea with an odor. In case of Trichomonas vaginitis, in addition to vulvar itching, there will be foamy leucorrhea with a special odor.

3. Skin diseases of the vulva: The skin lesions of tinea cruris often extend to the vulva, causing severe local itching. The local itching caused by vulvar eczema and neurodermatitis is more severe. The former is manifested as papules and blisters with unclear local skin boundaries and erosion exudate, while the latter often has thickened skin with lichenification due to scratching. In addition to causing local itching, leukoplakia of the vulva is often accompanied by vulvar malnutrition and skin atrophy.

4. Systemic diseases: Systemic diseases mainly include diabetes, anemia, leukemia, polycythemia, skin diseases, hepatobiliary diseases (such as jaundice), kidney diseases, lymphoma, etc. In addition to general itching, vulvar itching is often accompanied.

There are many reasons for itching in women's lower body. After we know why women's lower body itches, in daily life, if similar situations occur, we must pay enough attention to it, actively look for the cause, or go to a gynecological hospital for examination in time, find the cause and treat it as soon as possible to avoid more serious consequences.
