How to treat sneezing during pregnancy

Colds always accompany everyone and bring inconvenience to people's lives. For those of us with normal physique, it is okay and we can just take some medicine. However, for those with special physiques such as those who have already become pregnant, they cannot always be treated so casually. However, if not treated, it will always cause harm to the pregnant woman and the fetus. So how to treat sneezing during conception? Let’s take a look at the following treatments suitable for pregnant women.

The body's sensitivity to allergic substances in the air increases, so sneezing frequently is not a big deal. If you are sure it is not a cold, after getting up in the morning, when washing, hold tap water in your hands, lower your head, and try to inhale it through your nostrils. Repeat this about 10 times to increase the resistance of your nasal cavity and it may improve the condition.

When a pregnant woman catches a cold, it has two effects on the fetus: first, the virus enters the fetus directly through the placenta, which may cause congenital heart disease, cleft lip, hydrocephalus, anencephaly and microcephaly in the fetus; second, the indirect effect of toxins produced by the high fever and metabolic disorders caused by the cold. The high fever and toxins will stimulate uterine contractions, causing miscarriage and premature birth, so you should pay attention to preventing colds.

Here are several treatment methods: For mild colds, if there are only sneezing, runny nose and mild cough, no medication is needed. You can pay attention to rest and drink plenty of water, and you can often recover without treatment. If the symptoms still do not improve, you can use Chinese patent medicines such as Isatis Root Granules. If you have a high fever or severe cough, you should go to the hospital for treatment. To reduce fever, you can use a cold compress with a wet towel, 30% to 35% alcohol (or white wine diluted twice with water) to rub the neck and armpits on both sides; you can also use Bupleurum injection. Pregnant women with prolonged high fever or those with colds complicated by bacterial infections should go to the internal medicine department of a regular hospital for examination and treatment in a timely manner.

Pregnant women must not delay after catching a cold and should seek normal treatment from a doctor to avoid harming their body and baby. However, you should be careful not to take medicines that are harmful to the fetus. In addition, pregnant women should pay attention to their bodies, exercise appropriately, and enhance their resistance. Only in this way can you avoid the occurrence of cold symptoms.
