Will delayed menstruation affect your health?

The symptom of delayed menstruation is quite common in our lives. It is mainly caused by female friends who often stay up late or have improper diet. Therefore, I hope that female friends can have a certain understanding of the causes of delayed menstruation. If we have delayed menstruation, it will generally not harm the body within a week, but if the symptoms of delayed menstruation occur for a long time, you need to get checked.

A delay of more than one week in the menstrual cycle is called late menstruation. A person whose menstrual period is normal but whose menstrual flow is reduced is called oligomenorrhea. Late menstruation and scanty menstruation often occur together. This disease can be divided into deficiency and excess. If you see symptoms such as sore waist and cold limbs, tinnitus and dizziness, abdominal pain with a feeling of emptiness and sagging, and a preference for pressure and warmth, it is generally a deficiency and cold disease caused by kidney and blood deficiency. If you see lower abdominal distension and pain that refuses to be pressed, dark menstrual blood with clots, pain and distension under the clots reduced, and depression, then these are signs of blood stasis and qi stagnation.

Delayed menstruation usually has a heavy flow, is continuous, and lasts a long time, which is also harmful to the body. Frequent use of drugs to change the cycle can lead to menstrual disorders. Taking birth control pills to delay menstruation may lead to reduced menstrual flow or even amenorrhea, which may seriously affect women's fertility and cause great harm.

If menstruation is delayed only 1-2 times occasionally and there are no other accompanying symptoms, it does not fall into the category of menstrual disorders. When the interval between menstrual cycles is more than 35 days, it is called oligomenorrhea, and when menstruation stops for more than 3 menstrual cycles, it is called amenorrhea. Normal menstruation is affected by endocrine system. If there is endocrine disorder, it will cause menstrual disorder. Therefore, it is best to go to the hospital to check the endocrine condition when you have time. If it is serious, it may affect future fertility.

Female friends, after reading this article, you will learn that delayed menstruation has an impact on your health. I believe you all know that delayed menstruation is caused by endocrine system disorders, which means that there is something wrong with your physical health, so we should regulate the symptoms of delayed menstruation in our lives.
