Can I have a painless abortion if I have cervical erosion?

Women who become pregnant unexpectedly need to take immediate action to resolve the issue, to prevent induced abortion after a long period of pregnancy, which may cause greater harm to their health. However, some women who are pregnant unexpectedly are worried that they will not be able to have an abortion because of cervical erosion. So, is it possible to have a painless abortion if you have cervical erosion?

If a woman who is unexpectedly pregnant needs to use abortion surgery to terminate the pregnancy, she can also undergo painless abortion surgery if she has cervical erosion. Because cervical erosion itself belongs to the eversion of cervical columnar mucosa, which is not a physiological phenomenon, and cervical erosion generally does not require any treatment.

Only when cervical inflammation occurs does it need to be treated with medication. For example, subacute inflammation can be treated with suppositories. If it is inflammation, it can also be treated with physical therapy such as laser or cooling.

When a pregnant woman wants to have a painless abortion, it must be done within 10 weeks of pregnancy and there must be no contraindications to surgery. Therefore, a comprehensive examination must be carried out first. If she suffers from acute genital inflammation, such as vaginitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, or has acute or chronic infectious diseases, as well as some relatively serious systemic diseases, painless abortion will not be performed.

In addition, you should pay attention to medical care after the painless abortion surgery and need to rest for one hour before leaving the hospital. It is strictly forbidden to take a sitting bath within two weeks after the operation, and sexual intercourse should be avoided within one month. If there are any abnormal phenomena such as excessive vaginal bleeding, fever, abdominal pain, etc. after the operation, immediate follow-up is required.

What causes cervical erosion?

1. Congenital cervical erosion

How is cervical erosion caused? Congenital cervical erosion is one of the reasons, but perhaps many people are not aware of this.

2. Too much cleaning

There are many female cleaning products on the market at present. If they are not selected properly and high-concentration disinfectants are used to flush the vagina, it will not only affect the growth of normal beneficial bacteria in the vagina and reduce its ability to inhibit pathogens, but also cause varying degrees of cervical erosion.

3. Unclean daily life

Most of the young women live together in secret before marriage. In addition, young people do not have a stable source of income, and cannot create a stable and clean sexual environment for their couples. If they do not have sex in a clean environment, bacteria will enter the vagina, which will lead to cervical erosion.

4. Several abortion surgeries

Nowadays, many young women live together before marriage. Because they don't want to have children temporarily, they have undergone multiple abortions, diagnostic curettage, cervical dilation and other gynecological minimally invasive surgeries, all of which can cause cervical erosion.

5. Sexual activity too early and too many sexual partners

In such a society, some women are more mature and developed, so they may have sex too early or have too many sexual partners, which is one of the causes of cervical erosion.

Warm reminder: To prevent cervical erosion, you must pay attention to your own hygiene, such as not having sex during menstruation, not taking a sauna, and not swimming during menstruation.
